You're just not looking hard.

I began playing half a month ago and I've found plenty of players willing to roleplay. Not something with plots, or whatever, but they keep in character, answer to your questions, react to answers and do everything you're supposed to do when you're not following a line.

Just be sure to go near Harnquist and at the Tavern, where you find players, and try to talk with them. Don't expect them to come up to you though...

What is your character's personality?  Are they a fighter? Miner? Crafter?  Go where others of your type would be.  Fighters like to spend time in the arena or sewers... talk to them, pick fights with them!  Miners congregate at the mines.  Ask them how the veins are running that day.  Crafters and metalworkers are always at Harn's, Gardr's or Trasok's.  You can always strike up a conversation with them there.

There aren't many players. There are fewer role players. There aren't many guilds. There isn't any guild conflict. Yliakum is utter boredom. But hell, we can change that.

What kind of RP are you looking for? Because if you are looking for spontaneous RP then you will find just about none in PS. If you want pre-planned RP then there is plenty of that around, you just have to fit your characters into the initiatives of other players, if that is what you like.

Sorry you were not able to find any spontaneous RP Geoni but I find plenty of it all the time. and Yes I blame Roled for keeping me up till 2am the other night in a totally spontaneous RP. Well actually I blame Lilura for suggesting I show up someplace to cause a little trouble. Never dreamed just how much trouble that invitation would lead to.

THe vast majority of the RP I do is spontaneous and unplanned. you just have to know how to find it. To bad Geoni couldn't find that type of RP if he wanted it.

There are also "weekend-only players"...

And it depends a lot on the daytime (and your timezone which time that is for you).

Look at the website of the game server, there are graphs of the player counts on a statistics page.

I've seen more spontaneous roleplay than I've seen planned stuff. Planned stuff is usually too autistic for most to jump into... I spent plenty of time there the other day, but not thanks to Roled.
