when the game has fighting and pking might be a prob a way to stop that is not to simply stop pvp but have it in an arena area only lie a ring or under the tavern which would be cool that would eliminate pking noobs in the field and be cool at the same time you could say to someone who annoying you
\"meet in the ring in 5 mins\"
then you could sort out your differences with shouting at each other and annoying everyone

although i suppose mages and archers would be weaker in this type of situation but there we go there own fault j/k

Arena fight is ALREADY the idea that the devs are following... it has been written down dozens of times on these boards

from paxx (Developer ? Member) on More on PKing:
the arenas will have different settings and some will be a free for all grand melee, others where you can group will have group on group abilities?others only those of different races or different guilds can attack each other?the possibilities boggle the mind.

I love the idea of those arenas. Paxx\'s idea sounds great in that quote.

PartyBody has good idea, why not add a different arena type, where you can fight, but without weapons. So you can only beat him down.
So we would have
- normal, peaceful area (Diablo town)
- fight club arenas (bar fights)
- fatal arenas (PKing)

You have also on idea of a real aim for these tournaments on the Politics thread : there would be a different tournament for each town, and the winner takes control over the town. (but for this last idea I haven\'t seen any reaction from the devs at the moment)

I like the idea of the bar fights, it\'s like the dogfight in the slums in Baldur\'s Gate II. Would add some great experiences to the game. Yeah, why not have both: PvP fights to sort out differences, and dog fights to bet on and win money. (for the gamblers between us, which i am definitely not...)

there\'s a fight club in my city, I live right by it.
I\'d go but they fight \'n stuff and I dont like getting beat up
