Where is the option for texture compression??
« on: October 17, 2010, 04:08:16 pm »
I recently installed Planeshift onto Ubuntu 10.10, and I got that, "Everything is gray and missing!" and found that the solution is to disable texture compression, but I can't find that option, if it helps, my only skin is "elves" I can't choose any other

try adding the following line to your planeshift.cfg:
Video.OpenGL.MesaForceS3TCEnable = no

I can't find any files blatantly named planeshift.cfg, I have psclient.cfg and when I added that line to it, it crashes the game when I try to go into the game world, and I saw no difference in the character select window

The file should be in "~/.PlaneShift" not the installation directory. ("~" is your home directory, ".PlaneShift" is a hidden directory, you might have to setup your filemanager to show those)
