Bdroad 1 to the forest

Hi
The tunnel from bdroad 1 and the forset wont let me in the only way I can get in is by killing myself.
Please fix it.

Bugs are to be reported in the Bugtracker { http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/flyspray/index.php } after checking if they are already reported (and possibly closed). In your case it would be useful to search for tasks containing the keyword "portal".

Furthermore: The more detailed a bug report is, the better. This should include the used processor, amount of RAM, exact model of the graphic card, exact version of the operating system and of the graphic driver, and possibly also the output of the command "/pos" before you reach the location which provokes issues.

The forest (sectors hy_bdr#, I believe) contains two waysigns. You can right-click on the floor below them to use an action location which teleports you out of the forest if you come from Hydlaa and can't leave it towards BDRoad or Magic Shop. But I would be surprised if anyone still has issues with this...

I'm betting that if you look in your pslaunch app under graphics you have background loading world on. Swithc it to backgroundloading models or turn it off and your problem will be solved.

Dunno how much of his small post you read, but its getting into the forest from BDroad he cant do, there is no portal for that, the portals you speak of is to get OUT of the forest.

there is a portal there. portals aren't those sign posts you can right click that we have at some poiints.

as a fix either disable background world loading (use models or off) until the next client release (0.5.5) or increase your viewing distance to a rather high value (~600 iirc)

Didn't know that "World Background Loading" depends on the viewing distance. I have it at 1000 fixed and never had issues with the travels, never saw any need ...

Indeed I wondered why there is a teleport location from the Magic Shop into the forest, but not from BDRoad1 into the forest. But those issues were never related to BGLoader, as BGLoading did not yet work at all when those teleports were made.

well, the problem recognizable there is that the warp transformation wasn't applied at that point.
to be more detailed: it only took the translation part into account, but not the rotation which can end up in a totally wrong loading box for that sector.
the increased viewing distance helps as this increases the size of the loading box to such a big level that even with the wrong rotation the target location is still within the box :D

Rather stupid how PS is always setup really badly.
It should be set up with Background loading "off" and GUI in a good set out. UVB (or something alike) disabled.
You maybe roleplaying but you could still be OOC.

Of course you may report bugs here too.

But the bugtracker helps the developers not to forget unsolved issues after a while.
