Yes well unfortunately I have no loose money so I can't even afford to pay to have a website online. Which puts some severe restrictions on what I can actually make for it... regardless if the name you suggested is from one of the ingame languages (I got no earthly idea if it is, but it sounds that way) I'd be happy to concider it. it does sound alot cooler. :) Thanks for the suggestio.

Oooooh! Well Tria I can probably mannage depending on your fee. Contact me through forum pm so we can talk easier, I could even provide you with my guild msn so you can chat with me directly rather than have to wait for messages to come through. Also I did plan to name my guild in japanese but I figured this was way ooc so I decided to give it a lame name untill I think of something better.

well used to be but he was too depressing for me so I deleted him in favor of my new character Zaft if you want to go IG for us to whisper just say so and I'll go right away (If I am not IG within 15 minutes I'M most likely sleeping XD)

I would join, but im already in a guild at my planned story arc just wouldnt allow it. However... I may be willing to do those odd side jobs for you, for a price.  :devil:

So it's a Guild for lone Assassins? There seems to be no actual leadership, besides the interaction between Equipment and Intelligence Departments with the rest of the guild.

I'd reserve a rank for "Squad Leadership", and keep only one of the this-assassin-is-more-roxxor-than-the-others-rank. Also, I'd rename the Intelligence and Equipment Department to make it sound as nice as the other ranks. I'd make it look like they are still assassins, but they also do something else.

Here's what I mean:

1 - Wannabe
A member who hasn't participated in any kill.

2 - Rookie
A member who has either participated in three kills, or killed someone himself.

3 - Assassin
An experienced murderer, gets his orders from the Ringleader.

4 - Ringleader
Distributes jobs for the assassins and leads them in high rank jobs.

5 - Slayer
An Assassin charged with the Highest Rank jobs.

6 - Investigator
Charged with identifying and studying bounties and competition.

7 - Fence
Manages the Guild's storage and disposes of looted goods.

8 - Protagonist
Distributes missions to the Slayers and Ringleaders. Also acts like a representative of the Guild.

9 - Master Assassin
Head of the Guild, decides which missions to keep and, along with the Protagonist, the rank they belong to.

Structure:
The Assassins' Guild is a guild focused on assassinations. They receive payment from outside sources, who wish for the death of someone. Most of its members are secret, though some Protagonists are visible for the public to contact with the guild.

I'd do something like that if I were you. Less talk in front of the ranks, more talk about the structure and purpose and workings. Hope you like the ideas.

Death in PS is a strange issue...as is finding players who are willing to have their characters perma-killed. Those are very few.
Then there's the fact that murdering is going to get the Octarchy coming down hard on you...and make that 'Very Hard' if you're using poisons to perma-kill.

One idea is though, that assassinations do not necessarily have to have the aim of perma-killing someone. Sending someone to the Death Realm gets them out of the way for quite some time (if it's RPd well): that can be useful.
Imagine: two characters are intending to bid for [insert shiny item here]. Character-A decides it'd be cheaper to hire an assassin to send Character-B to go have tea with Dakkru, rather than spend so much money at the auction.

The real trick is the assassin making sure the target doesn't see their face or anything that could ID them once/if they do get back to the land of the living.

Throw in making the kill look like an accident and you've got a real challenge.

Excelent idea Sangwa! I'll think about it it does seem more fun. Although I did want to keep it simple at first. Also perma death was never my intention, in fact I simply planned  for assassinations sending people to DR For reasons like Tadano Hitoshi said. Or simply if one would like to have someone suffer for some reason and we could also provide the "DR extra" Which might be something along the lines of "We'll kill them and keep them dead as long as you need. In exchange for the right price that is"

I'll think for the rank and description but for now I won't be able to since I have lots to do in real today. Thanks for the idea Sangwa and thanks for pointing this out Tadano Hitoshi.

In-Game, i wouldn't want to RP an assasination as there are snobs who are good at playing and making difficult words to confuse you while you stab them.  Also they would say you are godmodding if you are using a very powerful spell that you have learned, but they have not. Some RPers think they are above everyone else just because they RP very well, and so if you try doing a "/me animates ____'s  shadow" they will call it a godmod, even though you DO know the skill.


ALso RPers would try a "/me luckily leaps out of the way before getting hit" <=== which is a godmod right there (It is godmodding because the asassin casting it has been training for years to get the spell right and the no-experienced "RPer" just 'luckily' leaps out of the way, It would be okay if the target was ALSO familiar with the spell, or is a great magician/fighter themselves). And if you try to argue with them, you always lose just because thye have been known to be the 'better' RPer.

Very true but sadly it's not everyone that enjoys training endlessly with the sole purpose of murdering people. Of course it can be an actual combat as well as it can be roleplayed, it's to the preference of the assassin charged with the job and also the player who is getting assassinated. Which would be contacted OOC.

Also, sadly this game does not have the born abilyties we can have in real. some of us are gifted in stealth and truly wouldn't be seen, while in game it is possible to cheat, an annoying truth that is pathetic since I did see people cheat out of getting killed.

I mean honestly, a good assassin would walk behind the guy, jab him in the back with his dagger and disapear in a shadow. No need for roleplay or any combat this is true assassination but because we have to rp it is possible to cheat even though it's absolutely lame.

I simply hope that those who will be charged with an assassination know how to make sure someone doesn't cheat and in case of cheating they could always report the person to a GM.

Humans are sore losers by nature and so many will try to cheat their way out by roleplaying a character that is smarter than usual (using player smarts rather than character smarts) Running right through DR careless of the rp intended, simply declaring godmodding as you said. But regardless I think that no society is complete without a group of assassins, after all this business still exists in our modern day world. and it has existed throughout history

Wouldn't assasins work alone? Don't they get payed by a rich client to murder somoene? They don't do it just for fun.


You should make this like a Yliakum CIA, after all there are assasins within the government. You could also make spies, fighters, etc rather than basing it on just one job.

Usualy they work alone but through the ages groups of assassins were encountered, they used teamwork to take down ennemies faster and easier than they could alone, as well as to take down people who were very careful such as high nobility.

Although rare assassins do teamup to learn the ropes and to get more money faster. Also I am working on the charge for an assassination.

Well, i am a bit interested if i can ever get online. Since my guild is probably dead i am in need of a new one. Also some people may not take me seriously as I am a crappy Rper (though im learning), but i can PvP.

You should change the name of the guild because it's too plain.
