A thief among us.
« on: November 21, 2010, 08:46:01 pm »
Today at approximately 11:00 GMT I got robbed.I just returned from the Death Realm and I have been quite oveloaded, so I dropped 2 quest items and asked Dramboleg Ironstrike to guard them. After that I went away to do some questing,a few minutes later I received a PM from Dramboleg saying that a Klyros on a Drifter had just stolen my stuff. From the information that I managed to aquire the thief had most probably went to the west Hydlaa road (the accident happened near Harnquist).Dramboleg had also managed to recover the following chat log: Daevaorn makes a complex gesture towards the Drifter and it dissapears. Please report any info you have on the subject.

Put all of the klyros in a concentration camp and burn every last one of them. That way this thief is certain to be punished.

catlemur you shouldn't leave things like that people will clean up in this case probably daevaorn. in place you've harnquist at 1mt to store things use it. If he kept them he should be able to give them back to you. It could have even been that a gm cleaned them up as it's part of their duties.

i'm sure those skulls and sacks of manure were very dear to you, catlemur, but leaving your things lying around in public places means you don't need them anymore.

you should have given them to him in place of leaving them on ground as people can't guard other people items this way.

As someone who has had experience playing with Daevaorn, I can tell you he neither RPs a thief nor is he an OOC thief-griefer. He probably was just doing his bit for Hydlaa and cleaning the place up.

Agreed no need to worry, next time run to Willam instead of leaving them on the ground.

Also speak with a GM directly about the issue instead of in here.

But other than that, good luck with getting your stuff back.
You maybe roleplaying but you could still be OOC.

They sound like some of the most important items in the world to me :)

You cant burn them unless their name starts with Eso and ends with Rono

Littering is usually illegal...
So is loitering, but we do both :)
Dohmo: Please clean up your language immediately.
Me: as i just said, what i said, fits in the guidlines of rated PG, i was just explaining to the G guy
Dohmo: Sorry I tried to e nice
Dohmo: and i'm telling you to clean it up. last warning
Dohmo: now just do it
Dohmo: No more warnings

Unguarded items on the ground are per rules free to take.
Next time, store them somewhere or on someone.

But you know even the name of who took them. Did you ask him if he still has them?
And you can replay quests with an alt and transfer the items, that saved me already several times.  :)

(Official denunciation is bad behaviour in most cases imho. If you have a complaint against a player, try to sort it out directly
or involve GMs.)

Also   :offtopic: I wish that people would stop comparing genocide with their daily little dramas. You're insulting the victims.
