error directdraw and no hardware accerator

ok well i have 2 problems i belive. one is that when i run my openGL mode it comes up with window that has a yellow bar on it saying no hardware  accelerator. then my second problem is i read the other post about the hardwar problem so i tried to run the setup but it wouldnt let me do it becuase of some direct draw error. p.s i turned my sound off and it still didnt work, suggestion from other post. please help me.

ati radeon lt pro(yah crap, yah many many people have probs with this game and radeons.. just like ultima online 3d and my vid card... everyone has white skin.. pure white..) oh yah 8mb ram on it and it \"has\" \"3d-2d acceleraton\"not that it realy ever works..........
ummm lets see im on a crappy laptop.... but im on cable so the dls all at once took me barely more than 30 min um yah... but i cant play.... damit

SOMEONE MAKE THIS STICKY FOR ALL RADEON USERS!!!!
WOOT Ok i had the problem, then i whent to the ati website, http://www.ati.com i whent into support and guess what i looked my driver up and gues what, the primary driver doesnt support opengl compleatly!!! everyone who can try the alternate, havent found a card that doesnt got one(checked 10+) and guess what the bad part is guys... their dvd prog wont run with it.... well yah... and a little more.... well thats all though i saw.. it works for me now!!! IT WORKS THE ALTERNATE DRIVER WORKS FOR ME!! WOOOT WOOT oooh maby uo 3d will work right now!! woot woot woot wooohooo YAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAAYYA well thats ehough... woot! hehe well yah SOMONE WHOS AN MODERATOR POST SOMETHING LIKE THIS AS AN ANNOUNCMENT!!! ITS USEFULL! woot woot woot.... um... yay... WOOT SOMEONE TRY THIS!! uh yah you do have to dl the driver and install it... but SWEET.. if this works for everyone plz give me credit... im new to planeshift.. i need it heheeh... lol well thats all!! Edit: oh yah and other people check ur vid card\'s support site if u get the same errors and see if your driver needs to use the alternate... yep it might just work!
