Buying copies of books.
« on: December 07, 2010, 03:54:49 am »
Well I know that you don't go to a Library these days to buy a book, but what if you could buy books that are in Jayose Library, it doesn't have to be from Jayose himself, but maybe from a book store?
You maybe roleplaying but you could still be OOC.

Might be useful if you want to play e.g. a scholar or similar and have standard literature available for different cases, like The Octarchal Decree, Communicating with Creatures, etc.

Or if you want some copies in a guild library like the Octarchy Decree, etc. I know that KIC would have the book about Enkidukai's (that is in Jayose) in our library when we get our GH.

I agree with this wish!
Jayose has a glyph that copies books quickly as well, so he should be able to make copies to sell.
That way he could afford to hire another assistant, perhaps, so he wouldn't be so busy?

Ahhh that's a good point, then Jayose could easily sell them, or hire an assistant to go selling them in Hydlaa Plaza in some form of tent? (so the books don't get wet)

It would probably make more sense to add the spell Jayose is using to the appropriate Way.

That way would be?

Well if we implement it so that others can copy books we won't have the special glyph, so I think it's best that the spell maybe given a Way but not player useable. It would be kool how ever if you go to Jayose and he tells an assistant to go grab the book (you want copied) and he does the spell right in front of you.
