to know that an average house costs between 8 and 15 mil... yes, i really stand behind my decision, no way our guild is gonna pay such amounts for any house in the future

Perlam-Who exactly are you talking to with that second post, again?   :P I assure we all heard you the first time, and we also caught gossip shortly after the auction, not to mention, the auction itself  ;)

To Realito: Congrats on winning the big one, great bidding strategy, and it certainly kept us excited to watch the bids, hope you enjoy the new home :)
Hey look kids, it's the antichrist Marsuveus!

strategy? I would say Pontifer had more of a strategy than Realito, Ojaveda is going to eventually be one of the larger cities in Yliakum, which could get very popular for players, so I think he is doing a good strategy investing in Ojaveda.

Realito tbh bought a house in the winch which isn't a public area, it's made for merchants, spending the most tria on a house in all of PlaneShift's history, is really not a good strategy and a waste of tria. And for the GMs to show interest in future auctions, could mean a complete waste of tria! Sorry but that's what I think.

Oja getting bigger doesnt neccisarily mean its going to get more popular, as more then likely as it gets bigger, it will be getting laggier, Plus it would need some specific attractions IE: New shops for new things, New mobs, new quests, new trainers ect. Sure the empty space would be ok for Certain RP, But i think most people would stick to towns they can get
the most use out of.

Currently the new part of oja, doesnt have anything new, and its been here how many months? No shops, No quests, no nothin, and from what I saw, it isnt that hard to get an NPC a shop, as the smith in amdenier got his shop, and smith equipment, only 1 or 2 days after amdenier was available on the RP server. So whats taking so long with the Oja NPC's?

Hav'nt been online since the 7th though, as im having problems with my ATI, so Id have to double check when i get the chance...

Sounds more like less tria and more sour grapes to me.   ::)

Congrats Realito!

Well I think that in the future Ojaveda... according to settings, Ojaveda will be very large, catering for many different types of professions and likes. Having each dsar dedicated to a certain profession, tradition and pack of Enkidukai could mean player population growth. It may look now Hydlaa being populated is a good place to go, but when all the other cities are implemented and players are spread out less people in Hydlaa could mean Ojaveda's Markets could make it the market central, with all the other areas that is good for training too, once Hydlaa is not the center of the game (right between BD and Oja, close to Gug and Amdeneir (for the time being)). You could find a dramatic change in the popular cities.

About Ojaveda taking so long to get some settings work done. Well:
1) the massive argument going on between Xoel and Talad could of made Talad not want progress done on Xoels work. (I'm just saying don't know if it actually has happened)
2) Most of the settings devs could have been busy with other things
3) Most of Amdeneir's settings probably was done awhile a go by the settings devs, but with DK coming so soon without notice.
4) DK has NPCs so does Amdeneir, are their quests in Amdeneir?
5) Getting a Blacksmith to Amdeneir is I guess a serious thing, Blacksmiths are one of the most populated areas IG at any location (sometimes even The Explorers Outpost, being so close to Tin and Bronze mines) my question is, is there anyother NPCs there? There also is no new Blacksmith to Dsar Kore and Steel Bazaar

Just because it is taking sometime for devs to add NPCs doesn't mean the future will change, once the NPCs are there they are there whether sooner or later. I don't think it would really matter.

Anyways this is getting off topic.

But I do congratulate Realito on his new GH! But I do think that was very over priced!

Where did I say something that I don't have access too or know from other players? Everyone knows a lot about how Ojaveda has different Dsars for different purposes (to packs, traditions and professions).

Ojaveda will be very large... if Dsar Kore and Dsar Akkaio are only 2 Dsars out of 6 then it will be pretty big you think? So that would be Ojaveda's size now times by 3 as 3 x 2 = 6

wasn't trasok supposed to have had a larger smithy in the steel bazaar and had to move into his current location when they closed the dsar?

Pontifer getting the Oja house at such a low price wasn't a result of any great strategy on the part of Pontifer. It was more due to a change in strategy on the part of the Crystal Weavers.  It seems, from what I saw and heard, that Crystal Weavers changed from trying to get any house they could to trying to catch perlan by surprise at the Winch auction. Instead Realito caught everyone by surprise with both his desire to have the Winch house and the large amount of trias to back up the desire.

@Sarva I wasn't really talking about who getting what house in the current best location, what I was meaning is Pontifer paid the least I think he could get something out of it, a good investment. You never know what's going to happen to a game that is still in Alpha, location popularity will change. But he could in fact lose a lot as Ojaveda could go the complete other way.

@Scotty110 From what I heard from the gate, Trasok owned the Steel Bazaar, and it had heavy machinery for making different types of metal blades and other items. But I think that was false like some of the other gates. The Steel Bazaar as far as I can tell it is a place for trading, mostly metal items I presume.

@Perlam: I wouldn't go so far as to say Realito borrowed anything unless you have a solid source on that. Everytime I visited the Oja Plat mines, he was mining. I can imagine a wealth of tria being built up over that amount of sheer time.

@Vakachehk: You're babbling. A city that is home to a single race being greater and more popular than the entire stalactite's cosmopolitan capital, largest city, and seat of government? All cities are designed to harbour a host of professions and crafts... Hydlaa moreso than Ojaveda because it is cosmopolitan and therefore not restricted by being home to a single culture with a single way of life.
