Guild house map idea.

Just by simply re-texturing the guild house map (probably the simple one, not the one with the scale in it) to make it look like the town it is sold in.

So you know you aren't changing it you are copying the simple guild house and re-texturing it for either an Amdineir, Gugrontid or Ojaveda styled one. For example an Ojavedian one the dome would look like looking up into a ultic and the walls are sandstone with parts of bamboo and windows around the place.
You maybe roleplaying but you could still be OOC.

I believe a Gugrontid guildhouse is already planned with a unique style (no, I don't say "Flintstones architecture"...).

But yes, the simple guildhouse might be a useful base for just simple texture modifications.

LigH, the guildgug interior totally looks like "The Flinstones" architecture ;D

Oh that is great. Well if they do this idea they could use the interior for the Mess Hall, and maybe a few other buildings in Dsar Kore.

So grabbing all of those gh_simple textures then finding a more Ojavedian styled texture (sandstone, bamboo, or golden pattern) and fully re texturing it will make us a whole new map but an a gh_ojavedian

Then we can use that one for the interior for the Mess Hall and other buildings in Dsar Kore. Sounds to me pretty simple and a good idea :)

But remember, if you change textures in your materials.zip, it will change everywhere for all places where this texture is used.

Furthermore, if you get an update, the updater will tell you that the integrity of materials.zip doesn't match, and re-download the hundreds of megabytes.

obviously the textures must be added to the official client in order to be usable by all. and those must stay under abc

No what I am saying is that you do it :) as it is a wish. You of course copy the guild house (GH-simple) and re-texture it so you still have the gh-simple and the gh-law but also have a GH-Ojavedian, GH-Amdineirian and GH-Gugrontidian one :)
