Apology to PlaneShift.

Hello everyone,

I used to work on PlaneShift, under the name Xoel. You also may know me by my main character's name, Akaiddo.

I wish to apologise for past incivility and trolling undertaken by me on the PlaneShift community, particularly towards the project leader. I am beginning to understand that trolling and insulting is not right, even when you are angry or hateful of the person you are directing at. The fact that a team has worked hard for eight years to make a free game is a fact that people should pay attention to. It takes alot of work to do that.

Even when you do not like someone, you should always respect them, their work, their friends. These people make a game for free, they put alot of work simply into making it start up and load what they have made so far for it. Game Masters put alot of time into their events, they take time to ensure that the game environment is a good one for as many players as possible.

So, for all pain and grief I have caused in the past, to PlaneShift, it's community, developers, Game Masters, and other staff, and for my incivil actions and insulting words, I am sorry.

I've talked with Xoel extensively, and I believe him to be sincere.  EVERYONE can learn and change their ways.  And Sangwa...no offense, but comments like this just encourage more flame wars, etc.   Put yourself in this situation.  Wouldn't you like to be believed?

this is a surprise as much as the one I felt when you decided to go against PS and me (few months back). At that time I felt your abrupt change in behaviour was unnatural and probably caused by the facts happened in game to your brother or other external factors. This apology message from you seems to confirm that feeling.

After some thinking, your apologies are accepted.

Unfortunately one message posted in here is not enough to delete the bad advertising made on many external sites. I hope you will really become friendly and supportive of our project, so that your apology message transforms into more positive actions towards our community.

Sangwa: I don't really intend to continue roleplaying in KIC. I have a busy life these days.

There's a rumour going around that because of this apology I am working on PlaneShift again. I am not, the rumour is false, however I do endorse PlaneShift as a free, open source (code) MMORPG project, and encourage possible contributors to contribute. I personally am not much of a team player, so I think re-joining PlaneShift as a developer/prospect could lead to more unacceptable social behaviour from me in future, I'd rather avoid that. I may contribute small pieces of 3D art from time to time. As far as continuing 3D art goes, I will still keep creating pieces of 3D art.

Zarre: thanks for the PM. Sorry to mention it publically, but I don't have a high enough post count to reply, and figured it would be rude to ignore you. And yes, I remember the wonderful old days in Nomo IRC

Don't waste too much time listening to rumours mate. Talad's cool with you and that's all that matters for someone who wants to enjoy the show. It's also a shame to hear about the KIC. Well, hope you'll still be around.
