New version?

Hi

Does someone have any idea when new version will come out?
This 0.2.010 version haven\'t been updated for quite long it about 40 days or more

The transition from the last AtomicBlue to the first MolecularBlue took around 10 months (more or less), so this is the actual rate of major releases we are keeping. Minor updates will still be possible, but they will only represent small fixed/enhancements to the actual release rather than a more complete gaming experience. You will have to wait for the next major release for that.

the devs in a open-sourced project as PS is are (usually) developing without payment, without a boss, just because they want to have this project done in the best way they can ...they have normal lives outside of developing their project(s) ...they even go to work/school!!

so to answer your question: if you had the same knowledge as they do, and carry your life as you do now, and would develop PS in your spare time, when would you say your next release would be? :)

ok, i understay developing game is quite hard. I have programmed a few small programs and it toke some time.

I think that we are working towards the next BIG release so we are not doing any minor fixes at this point since it would be too much trouble trying to keep things in sync because so many changes are going on.    As to when this next big version will be ready?  Depends :)

I am so very excited about Crystal Space, I would love to see something that is done with it. A great game indeed will be PlaneShift.

Who else can elevate (glamorize) these wonderful projects? The devs cannot do it! It is up to us, users! The greatest gift for the devs, if their work is RESPECTED by the users! I respect it this way.

I like CS. I like PS. TRULY. There was a day, when I reviled PS (see \"draw distance... again\" thread), and thankfully Acraig (thanks) showed me calmly, what is this project all about. (I still don\'t know by this day, why didn\'t he just simply ignore me...) THAT really turned me. I have learned from my mistake. If you have the time, please read his post in that thread. It should really be put on the main PlaneShift site. Sadly there are other people who just don\'t realise their stupidity, and just keep on speaking evil of this project.

I am maybe sometimes too confident or what, but I really hate those people, who can ONLY revile things, and are too lazy to actually learn or read something. They will never understand the goal of this project. I hate these types of poeple.
This was not the subject of this whole thread, so please ignore it. It has been argued about waaay too much. I don\'t want it anymore. Thanks.

Hmmmm...
I think PS developers should take their time.

I got a question (i think it has been answered before, cant find, give me a link or an answer), the crystals were gathering and buying weapons, will we hold that in the next release, or forever, or will we lose it?

My personal opinion would be that we lose everything, and just wait for the big release, were we can do something like mining, crafting, smithing or anything else and then hold that, finding crystals at this way how it is now is very weird, in the future you should only find them in rocks (mines).
