The best idea would be to combine several of these tria-sink ideas. I don't like the Titles idea, because these should be decided by the Vigesimi or Octarch and not by the amount of tria a character has.

But food sounds good.

And Catlemur, let's see if they ever implement it. :P
Disclaimer: This is my opinion and I can be reasoned with. I'm probably right, though.

Ardoin: So, do you drink moonshine?
Earowo: As long as it has alcohol, I'll drink it.

1) Multi-player quests - i.e. quests that encourage roleplay.

http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=34319.0

2) Improved NPC AI

I'd like to see monsters have more varied reactions to players - e.g. running away when close to defeat.  Right now they are more like resources than live creatures.

3) Wandering monsters / varied spawn points

Having fixed spawn points is boring and unrealistic and encourages player behaviour that goes against what PlaneShift is trying to be.

1) Weaving, sewing and clothes (or at least being able to get different, civilian clothes)
2) Herbalism
3) Alchemy
4) Being able to copy books (Jayose does it with a glyph quite quickly)
5) Being able to buy books from a physical bookstore or a library

I think tria sinks is a great idea, maybe something like paying to take a nap in Kada-Els while going afk, it gives you a small amunt of PP (maybe) and you sleep for your choice of time and you go offline in the meantime??
You maybe roleplaying but you could still be OOC.

Tria sinks? Holly Carp (a fish with wings and a halo)!!
You guys must all be crafters, because a character that relies only on loot and quests (i.e quests that don't involve crafting or mining (and a LOT of quests need mining skills!!)) toget money is kinda poor!! Once he bought his armor (why don't town smiths like Trasok sell helms, by the way?) and weaponry, he has to burn to the ground six whole tloke colonies to buy his level!!
The 'must eat every day' is a bad idea, 'cause it would make some characters unplayable (or have them forced to take a lifetime to up a level, and the progression isn't too fast by now!!). Something optional why not (the title things, with an appropriate quest; you do something awesome and Amidison says: hey, you could be called Lord for this! But I would have to charge you with the proper taxes), I like the clothes idea!

We could have actual cloaks as a clothing, and the char name would be masked when he/she wears it! But well let's wait for the clothes to be there, no emergency in this!
==>We NEED piercing daggers, or introduction of Stilettos... It could be extended to other weapons classes: Foils in swords, Pickaxes in axes, making the Morning Star more spiky and so on.

The eating idea was a simple idea, I don't really think it's that great as an idea, but maybe something little every now and then so like at least 2 pies over 24 hours of game play and if you don't eat you're stuck walking so you cans still play.

I've only been playing for a few weeks, but the things I would like to see being implemented with the highest priority:

1) More job skills actually implemented. As of right now there are what? three professions to choose from? warrior/hunter, blacksmith/miner, cook/baker. There are some writers and musicians and such out there, but they aren't getting any credit for their work. The more actually implemented job skills there are, the more balanced and realistic the ingame economy will become, the more varied character types will emerge, the more immersive the game will be. Plus, it will put to use the plethora of random items lying around, like gems and herbs.

2) Gatherable food ingredients. Other than buying ingredients from NPCs, a way to grow or gather them yourself. I think I've seen a random carrot patch or two, and you can catch a fish or pick an apple, so there are a few things to be gathered. I've seen chikiriri eggs lying around but you can't pick them up. You can buy bottles of milk, but where does the milk come from? Donde estas moocows? And just think of the expanded economy this will create! farmers and ranchers creating the produce, grocery clerks selling them, and restuaranteers preparing dishes and serving them. This is like, a job creation bill. But, I'm assuming that most of these farmville-esque qualities will be implemented once the second level is opened, it is "the Barn" isn't it?

3) I like the wandering mobs idea, a lot. It would make 'hunting' actually more like hunting, especially if there was a way to track the mobs you were hunting.

4) mobs that run away, and also mobs that attack when you get near. could make some areas in the wilderness dangerous for new or weaker players, so they would have to stick to the roads, or hire protection for when they travel. Also the thieves and rogues hanging out in the cities would actually attack you as you pass by.

5) A way to buy crafting, ummm, stations? such as forges, anvils, crafting tables, grills etc. so that players can open up their own blacksmith, bakery, restuarant, grocery etc. the Red Crystal Den is a wonderful example of a PC owned and run establishment, although nothing is actually produced there, all drinks are RPed, but a wonderful example nonetheless. This could fit into the tria-sink category.

that's on them.

I was thinking that people might actually turn their guildhouses into PC run shops. Take the RCD as an example. What if there were cooking stations there, they could hire some cooks to work there. And when (if?) brewing is implemented, they could actually make their own brew to serve to customers.
