What is "X11" and "static" im lost HELP ME?!?

i have been poking around and the solution to my problem is always "download X11" or "download static" my porblem is that the launcher sayd need permisions and the client wont open.
i would be happy to install whatever X11 and static is but dont know what they are i am LOST help me plz.

First thing, you need a bit of patience... stop hopping from post to post, and wait at least ten minutes :)
have you moved the planeshift folder from inside the dmg file in your applications folder? from there run ps launcher.

What Bo. says is absolutely right :)

You can't run the PS application directly from the .dmg, you need to take the folder, and move it to your Applications folder.

For more information about X11 you can go here http://developer.apple.com/opensource/tools/X11.html If you have your system install disks it is probably there you just need to install it.

Funny, it's about MacOS  :) Looking at the first post I first was trying to imagine someone running PS client without X.org on Linux.
