Increase the revolutions per minute.

More torque!

I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

Running epic quests, slay huge and ugly monsters with a spear, charging on a mount and wearing a full plate armour.
Take part as an humble soldier in a all-players-war on a great battlefield.
Ride monsters into battle.
Raise rabbits-like creatures.
See great landscapes of mountain, forests, and desert, going underground in dark tunnels filled with degenerated people.
Silently stab people in dark alleys with a rusty knife...

  • Buy books from Jayose's
  • Produce potions, tinktures, bandages and so on for medical purposes
  • Have a store in an emporium
  • Work in a sanatorium
  • Be able to run an herb garden
It's just an idea, it might contain nonsense until proper sources are given.

More interactive gardening.
Also, interactive PvP sports.
The ability to draw a cover to your books.
Expanded magical ways: Spells and Glyphs.
Better Looting Mobs.
Etc.

To be honest, I'd like to see less grind in this game. My character is supposedly as intelligent as a stone in spite of the only training I ever did being in intelligence and every in game effot being towards some academic pursuit. And bloody hell it was a grind. I would loath to have said to the hint or suggestion of a plot that I would love to partake but I've got to go kill things so I can get smart. But thems the game mechanics. Makes very little sense to me. But then again maybe I'm just being silly because I was so in love with the skill system in Lovecraft Country.

Thats only A-G. And it's an old shot so there have been a fair few added since.

You can already do that :)

Well there's no spears, and charging on a mount does nothing but keeping the animation to run.
The battle is possible, yeah, but there's no such number of players so you can run real tactics!
And people see you, even in the dark... And can recognize you!

[noobish rambling]I know, and I hope I can burn that tent in Hydlaa (and every table, bed and stuff there, too) on a regular basis too minimize the infection rate there (one could use a glyph too, having a mundane backup protocol is nice tho'). Then again, I want to explain what I meant with a Gedankenexperiment:
Hydlaa has between 1000 and 10000 inhabitants (that being unfounded, wild guesses), has a lot of travellers (aka most of the PCs), a non-functional sewage system. There also might be a breakout of disease(s) in the sealed off parts of Ojaveda. If there's a breakout of sickness in Hydlaa, that one tent is useless - even if the nobles could care about themselves, without additional capability to deal with more than two patients at a time (there might be something in the Laanx temple?), Hydlaa has a serious lack of medical care for the common citizen that is not player-run.
[/noobish rambling]

The amount of crystal way practitioners in Hydlaa, given the background information given in the Player's Manual, isn't a good sign, ICly speaking.

I'd like to re-iterate: this thread is NOT about Planeshift. This question was meant to apply to all mmorpgs. If you use PS as an example, that's fine, but once you're discussing specific cities and concepts within the PS realm, you're not really answering the question any more.

Sorry, didn't meant to hijack your topic, just clarified meself.

Looking over the posts, one could say that players want to:
-Be able to create and use custom content (buildings and books, tools, weapons etc. This would require a lot of communication between game devs and community, generates a lot of trouble and most likely legal issues. Then again - magitech airships might be worth the trouble ;) )
-Influence the metaplot/history/feeling of the world (aka the non-static world. Partially implemented in eg. EVE and others)
-Take part in epic action as well as roleplay

May I ask why you're interested?

Trade. A simple economic model with working supply-demand and source-sink models would be great. Not everyone want to be a hero, some just wanna be rich  ;)

Auran. No More.

Interesting that you mention that, Auran. That's near the top of my own list.
