Siege weapons.
« on: March 19, 2011, 09:20:02 pm »
It would really be great if the game had big weapons like catapults, ballistas, trebuchets e.t.c. that only big guild can aquire. Those could be very useful at guild wars, castle assaults and other major events.

Hmm, the Bronze Doors fortress is the last front to defend Yliakum against the Stone Labyrinths monsters. Why would anyone from the inside attack those?! Whoever tried that, the squadrons from all over Yliakum would end this idiocy.

I've always been under the impression that PS is less Guild War focused and more External Threat focused. If that's considered, these weapons have no place around here.

Indeed, since  the threats can be contained inside exits out of the labyrinths there isnt much need for a bulky and unwieldy siege weapon. (Unless war were to break out inside yliakum itself, lik a civil war.)

They made that giant winch though... imagine what kind of siege weapons they could create. 0-0

I don't get it. The Dark Empire doesn't seek to run over Yliakum with siege. Seems you're not very familiar with our ways. That can be fixed! Just join the guild and we'll slowly show you through it.

The Imperials want to: first establish themselves outside the Bronze Doors, second to bring the fight to the threat, rather than just waiting for it. So sentients won't be the usual enemy, though the occasional preconceited dimwit shall have its entrails spilled on the floor. It's no case for siege. :P

Endless Deep. Monsters come from it and that's why the Labyrinths are always crawling with them and why every denizen in Yliakum must know how to fight and be ready to answer the call.

Oh, that threat. But what about the settling? Y'know camps, possible cities.

Despite the cities and whatever, you wouldn't even have the need to create siege stuff, unless some catapults against the enemies beyond the bronze doors. Why? Because there's only one army who controls all cities.

And also, fire and magic are prohibited within the cities because they damage goods easily. Imagine owning siege.

No no no, I'm not talking about siege stuff. I'm talking about possible cities in the labryinths.
