Looks like you get some experience points now already for discovering certain areas.  \\o//

(Please don't spoil. Do not report which areas.)

Let's discover some new caves and other obscure areas. But really this is just a helper for new players who didn't travel far and wide yet.

Well, we all are beginners again, regarding this feature. Of course, a handful of PP will help beginners more than already powerleveled chars; but especially beginners may enjoy an incentive to discover the game world soon.

@ Catlemur: That doesn't belong here, looks rather like a kind of "player quest".

I found already 4 bonus areas...

The way it's designed is somewhat cheesy to me. Every time I wanna walk in a certain area, it says "did you discover <area name here> and gain 1000 exp?" and then a step later "You have discovered <area name here> and gained 1000 exp" or something along those lines. Point is, if I've already discovered the area and walk into that same place multiple times, I can keep getting the first message I quoted in this post, which is rather annoying. There could be a system in place not displaying such messages when you've already discovered the area, cause right now it's pretty much a "trapdoor" for anyone walking in these areas to receive the first message and, without really "exploring" once this message comes up, getting the sacred 1000 exp mentioned numerous times already to those who -have- discovered it.

I believe that is a testing phase that you are asked if you received the bonus.

When it is established, I doubt you will be asked over and over again. IMHO, you will only receive each area bonus once - and done.

Details may be explained by weltall, I guess...

guess I will have to create a new fool to drool with, bilbous has not noticed any such messages even going to different places to try to hear about it. Where do the messages appear? are they on-screen messages that might have been missed due to being turned off? are they status tab messages that might not have been noticed or what?

I have now seen the question once but not onscreen, nor have I seen the reward
