i dunno how many linkdead chars i have they are numerous so of my newer ones are Bowden and Seipher though...

When i use the DNS i get in the game and freeze in 5 seconds.  When i use the IP it says server isn\'t up.

That\'s two different problems:
- if the Ip doesn\'t work, you probably use the wrong one: 203.81.47.74 is the good one.
- if the game freezes, that\'s normal. At the first attempt to connect, PS needs up to two hours to connect (refresh lights). After, you need only one or two minutes.

my Deadlink problem was solved when setting compatibility to Win2000 and typing in the IP

I dont have any deadlink problems, insted it just says the server is down. and it always does that!

Be sure that:
- you use the good ip: 203.81.47.74
or the good domain: planeshift.fragnetics.com (try both)
- no firewall block the 13331 port

oddcurve did you try changing the compatibility by right clicking client.exe, properties and change compatibility, try both win98/me and win2000

and as said be sure you are using the right ip
