Author Topic: OS X Lion, hang on start, 100% CPU utilization, app not responding  (Read 2077 times)

When I try to start the app the progress bar fills then it just sits there doing nothing. I let it go for five minutes but it wasn't downloading anything (no network activity) and Activity Monitor says the app is not responding.

Here's what the screen looks like, you can see the progress bar is full:


And here's the process pegging the CPU and not responding:

it's compiling shaders at that point, so if you have a low end card, it may really take rather long (up to 15 minutes I think) till it's done at that point (after it went through once, it won't take that long, though, as the compiled shaders are cached).

Make sure you don't have the VBO option checked in your graphics settings on pslaunch. I use to be able to run Planeshift with this option checked on my macro laptop but when I upgraded to lion I couldn't get the game to run until I unchecked VBO so check that.
