Tried all fixes, but,...

Hello all,

   Well I tried these fixes so far:

        PSclient changed to win98/me
        using address 203.81.47.27 ( server is up)
        Firewalls are down
        NO router being used

        My internet connection is cable

        All I get in character upload is \" server dropped us for unknown reason\",.....
       


 I am running winXP, 1.8 AMD Geforce 4 4600, 512 memory and alota HD space..


anything I am missing to fix the connection issue?

Since you said you\'ve already tried several fixes do this and tell me what it is.

Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

While in Command Prompt type: ping 203.71.47.27
( or whatever the server IP happens to be )

Also you may want to try tracert 203.71.47.27 and tell me how many steps you go through and all of that (a screenshot would be good too).

Unfortunately I am using a mini keyboard temperarily and can\'t take a screenshot =/. But, I did ping the address and this is what happened.


Ping statistics for 203.81.47.27

packets sent 4, recieved 4, lost 0

approx round trip time
minimum 268ms, max 276ms, avg 271ms

This give any clues? Looks like I can get to the server but, I am no network professional. =/

Did the traert also. produced 20 hops..

On the tracert did you have anything that had an asterik (*)?

I don\'t know why you\'d fail to connect, appears as if there is no solution now =/

nope, no * and still 20 hops,...

 I am a 3D modeler and I would like to donate some of my time to the project, but I can\'t even log on to get a feel for where the game is headed,... Hope its solved soon =/
