Still not satisfied with the results of my asking about the Gods, hereby I want to start the

Community Art Contest — The Gods

Every artist in the PlaneShift community is welcome to submit artwork showing how they imagine the appearance of the Gods of Yliakum. May it be a drawing, painting, rendering, abstract figure, symbol, ode, poem, song, melody ...

I don't limit the number of entries per artist and god forcefully; but I doubt there should be a reason to publish more than ... two, in specific cases.

The published entries are collected in separate threads per god up to a first deadline – currently planned: January 8th, 2012.
After this first deadline, a poll will be added and a second deadline will be set for this poll – currently estimated: February 2012.

Please note:

• This is a community contest. The participants (artists and voters) are the users of this forum. The expectable prize for the winners is merely the fame. There is no liability about a possible use of any submission in official documents maintained by the development team.
• The assignment of artwork to the official development assets would require an agreement to the ABC License. Participating in this content only, instead, does not expect you to forego your copyrights.

Please respect the forum rules and common sense when posting images. Try to limit the size of posted pictures, use thumbnails linked to the full size image if possible. You are invited to use e.g. PSPS (gallery: FanArt) as picture host.

Unfortunately, Vodùl and Talad did not receive more than one submission.

Oh geez. I also have one week to prepare for early application to college, but perhaps if that gets done in time, I can at least get the headdress done on that Dakkru piece.

Well, I will be curious. And after all, the contest may not have much relevance anyway, we probably do it for nothing more than the fun. The best result we can hope for is inspiration for the Settings team.
