Does it have to be music that was made in 2011 or just what I was listening to it during that year? 'Cause I don't know when most of the music I was listening to in 2011 was first made. I think they're all '00s though.
My favorite bands last year were Antitainment and Pascow; I think I own all albums of both these bands now and like them pretty much equally, which is, a lot. Though if I had to decide I'd say I like Pascow more. Then I listened a lot to the album Göttin (=goddess) by Psycho Luna. I listened to Die Pretty and Biestig a lot, too. I think they only have one album out each, sadly. All those bands are more or less Punk Rock, though Psycho Luna more in the Gothic department and Antitainment more... something undefinable. Finally, I loved the soundtrack of the Japanese version of the Kirby anime (some game soundtracks too, but to a lesser extent).
I listened a lot to random video game music covers (mostly Metal-ish) on YouTube; judging from my favorites made, the ones I liked the most should be (<title> by <channel>):
- Hyrule Field by TheDelRe
- Those Who Fight by ArtificialFear
- Four Noble Devils by newskies
- Clash on the Big Bridge by violinpiano2
- Chill by auriplane
Various random songs I liked, in no particular order:
- Bob Wayne - Driven by demons
- The Lonely Island - Threw It On The Ground
- Danny Wiessner - The World Is Saved
