Deaths or attack animations
« on: June 03, 2003, 04:17:32 am »
This could make the fantasy game more realistic..you die, or fall when your hurt badly, in the way you were hit. Heres an example:
A troll is standing in the forest. Suddenly, he is shot by in arrow in the shoulder, and twists his body so that the arrow pushes him back through that shoulder.
This could also happen in hand to hand fights.
A man is fighting another person, their both weilding swords. One man gets a critical hit by the other man\'s sword, pushing him to the ground. It takes a while to get up, which means there could be room for finishing moves.

This would require skeletal animation and advanced physics. The first was introduced by Halflife i think, the second is steadily developed.

I don\'t know if the Crystal Engine supports skeletal animation?
thanks for reading
