Game crashes after finishing the tutorial

 after i finished the tutorial and clicked on "thanks" at the gate npc the game just crashes and show this output in my terminal:

Could try to turn off weather in the pslaunch application.

A bit more information about your system (graphic card, RAM, OS) could help figuring out what goes wrong for you.

In general you are teleported to Hydlaa after the tutorial. The Hydlaa map is the most demanding map PS has to offer. So there is a good chance that even if the tutorial works fine for you the hydlaa map is simply too much for some computers.

ok im using ubuntu  11.10
got 4GB DDR3 RAM memory
intel hd graphics chipset
and my cpu is a intel core i5-460M

There's your problem. Intel graphic chips are the worst for openGl. Make sure you have the newest proprietary drivers and turn your graphic settings way down. You might have a tiny chance then.

there aren't proprietary drivers for intel cpu-gpu but there might be need to update the opensource ones to the latest version, also reducing the texture size is quite important.

I'm having the same problem. It won't even load Hydlaa on the lowest graphics settings.
My specs:

Mac OS 10.4.11
1 GB DDR2 RAM
Intel GMA 950 graphics card

Is there any hope for me being able to run this game?

Ugh ... intel GMA 950 ... sorry, no, too ancient hardware, generations older than Core-i HD graphics.

Well, might at least "run" with "rlcompat" renderer. But will look ugly, and may crash anyway (only 1 GB RAM is small too).

That's a shame. Guess I'll uninstall until I can afford a better computer.
