My Book
« on: April 05, 2012, 03:31:14 am »
Hello, everyone. Most of you probably don't know me, but I've been around Planeshift in some form or other since before 2002. Earlier this month I published my first novel and thought some of you might be interested. It's an urban fantasy book and you can get it for $2.99 (or whatever the correlating amount is for you) on Amazon, or for free if you're a Prime member. You can also read an excerpt for free at my website www.runningbad.net. I used to send out free copies, but can't any more due to a deal with Amazon. Anyways, description below. Hope you enjoy it.

Kindle Version. Or, if you're not in the USA, go to your Amazon site and search for Running Bad.

Running Bad is a term usually reserved to poker rooms for the unluckiest of people. The smart ones will pack it in and go home, only to return another night when their luck has changed. But what if you were "running bad" your entire life?

Hell’s children know the feeling all too well, and they can’t simply go home until their luck turns, being that their home is the underworld where demons torture souls for fun. They are the answer to the questions no one asked: What happens to the souls of the unborn? How do you judge someone who has yet to exist? You don’t. There are no loopholes, no free tickets to eternal bliss. And so they are the unwilling servants to Hell.

Some of Hell's children welcome their fate with open arms. Others fight for the freedom to make their own way in life. Meanwhile, Gabriel Titus drinks and gambles, trying to forget what he can until inevitably being set to work hunting souls. But all that changes when war breaks out between competing factions over a device which would allow its user free reign between Earth and Hell.

Gabriel, who finds himself the only one unwilling to make a stand, is put in charge of a group conscripted for the sole reason that they present absolutely no threat and can be easily disposed of afterward. The problem for Gabriel is there’s good reason for that. Can they stay out of their own way long enough to come out of this mess alive?

Running Bad is an urban fantasy novel with a heavy dose of dark humor and is the self-contained first novel in a planned series.
