House of the spirit

During a quest for Thorian's order I was told by Ferryd to go to the house of the spirit with a note for admittance.  Only problem is it does not appear for me.  I have been shown by players the same place twice but I do not see it. Once, one of them stood on the rock and they floated in air on my screen.  I stood under them and they said I disappeard into the rock.  I was on BD road 1 just past Grok near the tefusanlings, I'm sure its the correct spot.   Filed a petition and was told to update.  Tried updating, no files to update still no house of the spirit.  Any suggestions?  I turned down my graphics got rid of grass still no cave...

did you try just right-clicking where they showed you? it is just a bunch of rocks similar to the crater cave can you enter that cave? did you try reloading the game when you were in the right spot? can you even enter the howling well where the rock head is on the same map on the other side of the main road, closer to gugrontid.

Can you compare /pos numbers with whoever is showing you where you should be?

I take it you can't even see the rocks that you are supposed to be clicking on, what version of the game are you trying to use, if it is too out of date there will be no update for it even if runs. try a fresh install.

Are you sure your character meets the requirements to enter magical locations? I remember how people wielding items with a buff barely passed a skill limit, to hand out the item in a quest, losing the buff, and getting back below the limit.

if you see people floating in the air it's an update problem for sure. graphic settings doesn't matter. try to get rid of the updateserver.xml file and try updating again. The problem is there.

@Bilbous - I do not believe its too awful old, I just downloaded the torrent around June 20th.  The last person to take me there put a mug where the entrance should be and I clicked all around with no luck.  I do not see any rocks at all anywhere near the entrance, just the typical grassy hill. I have not been to the crater cave or the howling well.  I came here due to the quest. I did try update/repair/reboot/relog still nothing.  I have made a few trips out there over the past week with the same results.  Thank you for your suggestions I do appreciate it.

@Lig - I do not know the requirements, I would only assume that if I was given the quest I would be allowed in... not sure if that is in fact the case though.

@Eonwind - I will try this when I get home!  I hope it works and thank you for the suggestion.  Not sure what version number I am running but I donwloaded it a month ago so I would assume it is the latest client.

PS - I am not the only one having this trouble.  Another friend of mine is as well.  You should still be able to see the cave even if you are not allowed in correct?

you should be able to see the yellow(?) surface rocks, yes. There are no real cave entrances in the game except the one that is integral to the Bronze Doors map. I would think these places would look a bit more realistic but art assets seem to be particularly hard to get people to work on. Cave entrances are a jumble of large rocks on the surface of the terrain which you have to right click on in the right spot.

Only a green grassy hill my friend.  Going to delete the updateserver.xml as suggested and try updating again.  Client says it is version 0.5.9.1
I will post my results after deleting the xml and trying to update.
