Can't start the game.

Launched the pslaunch, clicked play, and the game crashed before it loaded anything. Help?

(Trying to) play on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.2. 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB Ram 1333 MHz DDR3, Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB, 447 GB free space.

Sorry to here that. I can't help with Macs in general, but did you happen to update before trying to run the game? I had a problem with the game crashing at the point the last time I updated. I had to reinstall the game.

It should give you a prompt in the launcher if you can update. I'm not sure if mac has the same issues with privileges as Windows has. In windows you have to run it as an administrator to update.

However, there is a button on the launcher called "repair". Did you try using it?

The Intel HD graphics chip is problematic on Linux - an unofficial patch is needed for open gl Mesa to make it work. Being that osx is derrived from Linux, the same might be true for osx? I'm not familiar with osx, unfortunately.

Did you install it as requested, by dragging the content out of the DMG into the Applications folder? It wouldn't be able to update files if it was started from the DMG.

May sound odd, but I would suggest to just try to launch it again. We had many reports of random crashes at startup, which seems to be related to threaded loading. On Windows this is surely happening, and relaunching the client works. Not sure if in your case the problem is a different one. If you want to generate a more detailed log, you should launch the client with "--console --verbose" flags. Then you can post the log on pastebin, so we can review it.
