PS and extremely flaky connections
« on: August 19, 2013, 06:07:35 pm »
Is there something people with extremely flaky/touchy internet connections can do to stay connected to PS better? It seems quite intolerant of any interruption in the network.

  • Don,t use ethernet over power
  • Get yourself a cat5e/cat6 ethernet cabel
  • Get yourself a better modem/router
  • Get yourself a better internet connection

Strange - I can run PS smoothly on mobile broadband with only 38% connectivity

You know that some people are stuck with crappy monopolies/duopolies when it comes to ISPs, right? (i.e. there are places where there is no decently functioning ISP to be had)

If its really your isp connection and you can't choose another then you probably have a problem.
But wireless and ethernet over power are very common problem givers for bad connections.
Also the further away you are from the server the more problems can occur on route.

Since you do not have any problems with your connection this was not meant for you.
