There should be a way so you can see all of a person\'s complishments, like quests completed and what your job is and things like that  :D  8)  8o

Though it is an interesting idea .Im not sure i agree with it .

1.seeing what people have acomplished by being able to just click a button takes away from roleplaying in my thoughts.
2.Now if there were perhaps lists for certain quests and such and the players name would be counted among them if completed much nicer.

3.Otherwise alot of people tend to kiss up beg higher level more acomplshed players that they know next to nothing about due to click click nothing nothing oh wait he she is good (no roleplay here) beg beg Um I wont try to pk them or steal.....while at the same time oh he she is a total wuss i bet i could 1 to 2 hit and get a few coins and items.

4.Now if there were lists and such for what a person has acomplished I do think in general that is a good idea ....perhaps they could be in a hall of records this way you can check on people...and get conformation of various aspects in a roleplay way ...You enter into the library Hall of records or so forth and request to see a certain persons paper work while viewing this you might see what quests a certain person has done if he or she has been a criminal what there current status is (maybe but nothing concerning lvls)also you would need to leave your name and they could also check to see who has been looking into them (unless of course there was a way to perhaps steal borrow bribe for the information)
this i believe would help roleplay as well as making it much more interesting.

scenerios

where person has strong like or dislike of certain individuals would become much more interesting.
also this might be a way to measure fame or being infamous as in how many different people view a certain persons records.

Hmmm, I dunno, sounds unrealistic to me, maybe wandering to far from roleplaying.

Hmm you mean like that other game ....

Im not sure if that is a good idea
even from just a normal view point taking away from roleplaying

say you and I were neck and neck for a spot now since were so busy trying to lvl and compete with each other we miss out on everything else going on around us.

we become power gamers which im sure there is already gonna be alot of .

Now with my idea it may not be perfect you can go check anothers record in a roleplay attitude.

and you become known in some way to the person so say if someone is lvl 100 or so he or she can see the people that are checking up on him also for people to become famous and well known it would depend on there roleplaying and skills instead of walking around with a big sign that says im this number in the top 100 list or so forth because then it would be from word of mouth from themselves and other players ...then after putting together a little information a player could look into the persons basic records (not sure what they all would pertain too)perhaps all that i said before ...or perhaps nothing as the person would have maybe some power to bribe or hide there records as well

what would be nice

It would be kind of nice to be able to check a personal record though.  No one else could, unless, say, you gave specific permission individually (no mass allowance).   Either way, people will compare stats to some extent.  My biggest problem is that if pvp is done, then sharing any information is dangerous.  Remember that thing about not talking to strangers when you were young?  Well, this is sorta like that, except the criminals never do time, and never suffer any real punishment.   Anyway, thats just a thought...   :P

I was a Horizons fan.  If you look at their site now, the only mention of horizons is in news about 6 weeks old........ not even listed in the prodects.  The links page is wiped, the forums are wiped, the information is wiped, and the site looks like a business site now....

BTW, I was Donovan Graham on the site.  Made it all the way to journeyman after I forgot my first accounts password, and then there stopped being anything to talk about.  Course, now that the game is basically dead..... well, anyways.  Sniff, well, here I am.  I found out that Everquest wasn\'t all that great.  Never played \"that other game\" beyond about 10 minutes, wereupon I decided that I wasn\'t having fun yet, and though it was a cool concept, lacked a certain something that made it real enough to make me want to interact.  Anyway, I saw planeshift when I was milling around in the more pig cafe  (mmorpgcafe).  The only gripe I have with this game is I don\'t see any business plan, though that isn\'t a real gripe.  Just a little touchy after horizons I guess.

i like the idea about chekin someone out but I don\'t think U should just walk into a library and chek someone out what if I don\'t wanna be cheked. i was planning on playing the mystery man! so no simple library chek out peoople

i\'d rather see some sort of engraving shit like i slayed some monsters in a cave and i can engrave my name in the rox!!

and not being able to just chek people out can create urban legends adn thats cool!!

Having a building called the Hall Of Fame would be nice. Who knows, maybe one day I could just walk in and see a statue of myself!! 8o  :D
When our hearts both beat in time,
There\'s magic in your smile,
It seems there\'s nothing we can\'t do.

And within your warm embrace,
My heart will find a place,
Even from afar,
Our love forever shall be, destiny.

i think the personal record of each player is a good idea..
you know, the number of people he killed, Karma points, respect in town... status*

*meaning - if u see a person walk around town, and u wish to see if he\'s *important* or not, you click on him, and it says what he is - a clan leader, a goverment member, a mayor of something, a criminal, normal player...
