Seria sits in her throne, thinking about the strange woman, Kyyjunuut and her offer. Mediation? She was wondering if she was sincere. Few people were, in her eyes. And even if, it always came at a cost. And even so, should the Empire give up that part of its sovereignity? She feel unsure how to react in the face of recent hostilities. But then again, perhaps they ought to go to war. The Empire should show its full strength, not be cower behind a mediator. For now, she would watch whatever Kyyjunuut would manage to achieve, she decides. Observing rarely was a bad choice...

She did not grasp what happened. In disbelief, she stared at the bars separating her from the crowd, her fingers tightly closing around them, wishing she could just tear them apart and disappear. Her eyes scanned the crowd.

There was Rokko, the guard. The one who had sent her the summons, for the Octarchy had decided to settle the "dispute". She grinned at the thought, all had looked so well. Her smile quickly faded as reality hit her again.

Then, there were the dwarves. Always on the side of the Royal House of Purrty. She had been so close to reaching her goal. Having the Octarchy strip away the house from the Purrtys... The crowd had not been in her favour, but the Octarchy had been keen to acknowledge the facts until...

Her eyes jumped to Suno and Kaerli. She felt a surge of anger coming over her. Suno, the betrayer. In public he had revealed her, their, plan. She was not nearly as much angry with them as angry with herself. It was what she should have expected of Suno, he was a true Imperial after all. But at trial, it would be his fate at stake just as much as hers. She felt relief knowing that she would not go down alone.

Her eyes wandered on to Evirea, the Klyros. Revenge. She wanted to hurt her. And she would somehow get that chance.

As her eyes scan the crowd further, she notices a hooded person standing all to herself in a corner of the courthouse. Suddenly, it hit her. She knew those barely visible features below the hood. Knew them well. For the first time this evening, she felt genuine fear. A single name echoed in her mind. Donari.

After everyone had gone and a trial had been announced, she lay down on the cold stone bench of her cell. It was not easy to find sleep, but exhaustion quickly caught up with her. In the middle of the night, she woke. Or was woken? She felt not alone...

The squeaking of a bolt drawing and grinding of hinges can be heard, shortly before the heavy, reinforced Jail house door swings open and Rokko, the arresting officer and highly decorated member of the Hydlaa Guard marches in.

He briefly scours the room with a quick, well trained glance before setting his gaze upon Seria's cell.

Holding a plate of food, a canister of water and an official looking file, he approaches her cell bars, first slipping the plate of food through and offering Seria the canister of liquid...

"Eat and drink lady Seria, you'll need your strength for the coming trial."

Rokko then opens the official looking folder and removes a piece of parchment, holding it up to the light...

"This is a bail application form... Entirely optional of cause, as you may recall - your bail is set at 10 million trio. Should you wish to spend the remainder of time awaiting your trail outside this room, you must complete this form. Once approved and all tria paid, you will be allowed out."

Rokko then pushes the parchment through the bars and hands it to Seria... After giving her a brief but polite nod he turns on his heels and marches back out of the Jail house.
The metallic grinding of bolts can be heard again, shortly after the door slamming closed behind him.
