 they cant understand simple english!!!!!!
they make quests harder
they make u feel angry when u have to try to find the words they can understand

so this is how u can fix em u
-place a list of possiable stuff u can say to em




i noe the u it will spoil the quest stuff but u guys can make us travel more for the quests

I know the npc\'s can be a real pain in the ass, but i don\'t think spoiling the fun like this is the soution. Unfortunately, I\'ve no idea on how you could handle the problem...

The NPC intelligence is being worked on by the Devs they will improve greatly so just bear with it for now

ok man why you dissing all them there npc\'s. there english is easier to understand than yours.
ok hey its a free online game you cant expect much from it so my advice if you want a game with smart npc\'s. BUY IT!!!!!!!

I agree with ya kirillian.  If you want to play a good game, your gonna have to buy/steal it.  I say, just quit your crying everyone else.  The game is still new, give it a chance.  BTW snow_RAven, learn to use caps lock.  your hotdog strutin\' floosie.

1) stop flaming (not meant directly to a single person!)
2) the NPC AI is being worked at AFAIK
3) yes, it would completely ruin the quest
4) there\'s a HOWTO for talking to NPCs on planeshift.it ...a short summary: most statements are simple 4 word statements like \"tell me about yourself/wood/etc.\"
5) PS has real future and IMO it will develop into one of the greatest MMORPGs ever made ...we only have to give it time ...it\'s still pre-alpha for crying out loud! :]

I had a real problem with this until I was given a little help. Really what you have to do is think hard about what the NPC\'s say back to you in their responses and break it down then try to figure out what to say back. Thought process is involved and they use correct grammar. Not slang. Once you read on the website that explains how to speak with NPC\'s then use a simple thought process about what the NPC\'s say its like an avalanche of \"Duh\" and \"dangit I shoulda figured that out earlier\" Being that this is pre-alpha I was pretty suprised at the actual amount of AI interaction there is in game now. Very nice job devs.
