The Fifth Sort-Of-Annual Planeshift Community Awards

Four years after the fourth annual Community Awards, The Annual Planeshift Community Awards have returned! bloodedIrishman used to run these, but given his absence, I see no reason why we can't bring this good-natured and well-meaning contest back for the community of Planeshift to enjoy.  Please follow the rules and have fun!



Rules


The Awards process is split into two rounds. First round consists of the Nominations and the second consists of the Voting round. No one who has been banned from Planeshift can be nominated for any category. You can nominate ONCE and vote ONCE. You may NOT nominate yourself but you can vote for yourself if nominated by others for a particular category.  Try to vote for someone in every category, but if you don't have an opinion on a particular one, just leave it blank. For simplicity's sake, I've broken the categories up into two sections: Character Awards and Player Awards.

Please send your nominations and votes via PM to Caraick.   For simplicity's sake, just copy and paste the categories below with your nominations next to them.  If e-mail's more your thing, send your ballot in to caraickdastrid@gmail.com.   Remember, you can only nominate one person per category. 



Nominations Round

Nominations begin today, August 15th, and will be accepted for one week, until August 22nd.  I'll put up the nominations in a seperate thread, with the top three or four names per category, and then voting will be open for a week.

Yay ! Ahah well it's harder then i thought ....

1. Can we put names of char or players actually inactives ?
2. What do you mean by " Most likely to be Mugged " ? It sound like " the one you would send a mug to" award

1: Sure, inactives are fine, but it's more fun to nominate active folks
2: Mugged means robbed

And another question that's been asking: You CAN nominate the same person for multiple categories, but only ONE person per category.

These aren't community awards. This is just friends voting for friends and everyone else being left out. Having "most liked" and "best" as awards is not how to run something like this.

Most skeletons in the closet
Most literal skeletons in the closet
Possibly Talad's alt

The idea is to have legitimate votes. When you use "best" and "worst" you are inviting people to vote for their friends (and not-friends for "worst" awards), which they will, and it really isn't about the community anymore. The largest clique wins.
