Waesed nope this is an icmeeting for the staff only, as we need to find our vision there. I guess you missunderstood.

As there is really no staff because of lack of interest, don't you think we might drum some up by being inclusive? Three or four of us aren't going to come up with anything new. We need new blood and new ideas.

Yes we do have new ideas which we will share there.  It's about evolving a vision.

Yes!

I hope the RCD can be opened up like the hospital, it's truly an underused resource.

I hope anyone with ideas on how to keep it open, 24-7 so all zones can use it, will chime in, either in this meeting, if cdmoreland's suggestion is taken to make it inclusive, or in a subsequent meeting which would be open to all.

It sounds like the main problem was locking down the excellent props as well as keeping the kitchen grind free.  Can the visions evolve towards solving these issues?

I have a character who is ICly staff but has no key. I can't make the meeting, though. For the record, as a player, I support leaving it open all the time.

Waesed, as Sulaika told, the intention was to have this an meeting of the people who were last active in the RCD team. To my this has been clear. To invite more player participation after that when we have some RP background to offer on how to evolve the RCD by in game activity.

While I think this way around is also a way we can go, next time, please coordinate with the rest of us. I kept you in the loop and made every move of myself regarding the RCD transparent to you and invited your feedback – since the time you asked me to. Please do so as well with Sulaika, Sian and me. This is about team work as that is what the RCD requires. Thank you.

As you posted the announcement here now anyway, I suggest we go with invitating anyone interested, but I want to make one clear point:

At this state I am interested only in people who want to dedicate *some* time and energy to make changes for the RCD happen. Cause I think it is only fair that these players who actually do the work decide on the future course of the RCD.

There are a lot of people wanting this or that or this for the RCD. But so far the offers to really help to make it happen, have been rare. It is still my oppinion that just opening the place 24/7 will make it just another Kada El´s (without NPC, but honestly is that such a big difference?). So what makes the RCD so special in my oppinion still is: People invest time and energy to create and hold a space to RP in it. That people open it and they are no NPCs, but can really be talked to and interacted with in creative ways.

Or to make is really blunt and short: I think we do not need more people just *discussing* things about the RCD, but more people who are willing to invest time and energy to actually in the game evolve the RCD into place that is filled with more life.

I know this is challenging given that in the last weeks I often saw less than 20 or 15 people online in PS in total at the time I was logged in. But still I want to have at least an attempt to build a larger team around the RCD. Whether that team evolves the RCD in to a place that is open 24/7 or not, remains to be seen and depends on whether that team wants this or not.

So please keep that in mind when attending. *Some* time and energy really means just *some* time and energy. I am not into making it an obligation. But I think the RCD needs some kind of longer term commitment in order to evolve. As with the hospital, without Mariana and some other players moving it along in a regular basis, it would be a dull and boring place.
Love,
Damola

Waesed, there is staff, even if its a small team yet, and there are ideas. Saying there isn´t is disregarding the work we already did. Some the ideas of Damola I even shared with you already. Only ideas isn´t going to make anything happen tough, people doing the work will make it happen. For that see my last post. So I don´t think there is a lack of ideas. There was a lack of players wanted to dedicate time and energy.

Sulaika and I wanted to invite further players after this initial ig meeting in a more coordinated way. But well, in case there are players around who are willing to help to make things happen, I welcome you anytime. Just whisper to me in game or send PM. This has been true already and thats how Sian joined us recently. This in game meeting we intended about collecting ideas for a setting and way on how to evolve the RCD and invite more player involvement.

So at this time, please check whether you are in for a longer term commitment for the RCD.
Love,
Damola

A longer term commitment? Put it this way, I ain't dead yet. ;D

I can assure everyone that the RCD will not be open without an attendant. (Unless the GM Team rips it from my cold dead hands.  :P)

Waesed hasn't heard any of my ideas. And this meeting was meant to discuss intern the ideas and make a vision and then go outside. It isn't exclusive, but exactly a point of understanding and agreement between each other and working with each other. So all different now and including yes, which is good, but it would have happen after the intern meeting on another point as well, to not make wrong ideas in this. All I ask is for a constructive meeting. Its about brainstorming and finding goals and a vision. And as I need to get up early the next day due to work, I dont want it to become a bad argument of 5 or 6 hours. So whoever joins in, prepare yourself for it. Thank you.

Sulaika, While it is true that you haven't put forward your ideas to me, I thought that this was to be an IC role-play meeting. OOC discussions can happen at anytime with group chat, emails or even here in the forum without the need for meeting in a set location.

I guess I misunderstood Damola but she said that I could invite anyone I wanted. I have found there to be much greater interest in the RCD since this has come up, hence, I announced it here for others, some who have been involved and whom I have no way to contact, to those that have an interest and didn't know how to get involved.

The RCD has played a unique role in PS and I would like to see that continue.

Well I see speaking about the future of the Den also as IC roleplay meetings. So it would fail for me to discuss this ooc only. Otherwise I would have shared my ideas already. But its okay now. Its done. My only wish is that we will get good results on friday and that we can write them down and turn them into action. And I know that the RCD has a unique role in PS. I have been here since 2008. And I've known Aiwendil and Lhaa. If I wouldn't know the unique role of the Den in PS, my heart wouldn't beat for the Den anymore.

Update: Of course Jerada also attended. Sorry and thanks Waesed, Sulaika for making me aware.

I think we had a quite productive meeting this evening. Waesed, Jerada, Sulaika, Jilerel and I attended. No one else knocked on the door of the Red Crystal Den´s during the time.

Sulaika made notes which I extended and categorized. We have concrete TODOs with first ideas on who will do what and I hope you can soon see first changes that invite more player participation on various levels. I may post this summary later on after Waesed and Sulaika reviewed it and if they agree with sharing it here. Unless you want to be surprised by some of the changes :)
