Importing music into PlaneShift music scrolls
« on: October 22, 2015, 12:20:47 pm »
Hello, I'm new here. I read the other thread on "How to use an external music editor" and followed it as best I could, but when the time came to load my converted file into PlaneShift, the music scroll came up blank, and then PlaneShift crashed.

If there is anyone who has some experience successfully importing XML music files into PlaneShift music scrolls, I'd like to talk to them. If you need any technical details, please let me know, and I'll provide them.

I created an XML file using Finale Note Pad, key of C, 4/4 time, acoustic guitar, 90 bpm, 24 measures, of some public domain renaissance music. I converted the exported XML file using firiban's converter.

I pasted the converted file into a PlaneShift music scroll XML file.

Then I went into PlaneShift, opened the music scroll (it was blank) and attempted to LOAD the XML file. The scroll remained blank. Then I crashed.

It's a bit harder than that. Many tags of Music XML aren't supported by Planeshift.

Can you send me via PM the music scroll ? I'll try using Donari's Converter
