i have created my char but im wondering as soon as the final product is released do i have to re create my char or can i still use him?

Concerning characters, i believe you will have to create a new one when the next verson is out.

Yes, the devs have pretty much came out and said that all characters will be wiped after phase (alpha, beta, etc.) This is too delete any characters that are no longer active, because character creation may changed so much that it just won\'t work anymore, and there are probably several other reasons. as i remember they\'ll reserve the names so you can make another character with the same name ...don\'t worry though, your character won\'t gain any exp in this (nor probably in the next) release, so there\'s no big reason to worry :]
