Not quite so new.
« on: June 15, 2003, 12:12:29 am »
I\'ve been reading this board for a while now.  Over year anyway.  I got here through the Crystal space web site and have been interested in this project for while.  I have been messing around with Crystal space and 3-D rendering off and on.

I have a suggestion for some of the people on this board that can\'t spell.  Use a voice-recognition system.  Dragon NaturallySpeaking works quite well.  And you can type up to 160 words per minute.  Not bad at that.  It also helps out us dyslexic\'s types.  I think one of the main problems is that people who are used to typing in games use a lot of shorthanded gimmicks to make their typing speed faster.  This doesn\'t work out very well on a form.

I have seen a lot of discussion about getting a new computer to play this game.  Since I usually build my computers from parts I would like to know what the developers have for computer parts that makes this game work correctly.  I would especially like to know what to avoid.  Suggestions please.
Doing things just for the halibut.

Heh ive tried using voice recognition programs before, but i have a very very broad Yorkshire accent so words like \'right\' and \'you\' come out as \'rate\' and \'the\'. :D
Ill go over here now.
