The common enemy? Storyline?
« on: June 15, 2003, 07:41:41 pm »
In some MMORPGs there\'s a common enemy like in Final Fantasy 9 you had Orcs and Goblins? Will Planeshift have some sort of commong enemy that\'ll play a light role in the storyline? \"If there is supposed to be one?\"

Is there a storyling or somewhat a storyline? Wouldn\'t all players be on the side of Talad? I mean if Laanx was sad and felt great remorse and depression yet a bit of jealously and not remembering anyone, shouldn\'t she be the protagonist? But what I stated just contradicts the history that Laanx helped Galeran bring the Xacha to Hyldaa which again contradicts the fact that the Xacha are a playable race...............aah!! confusing!

Well I would like to become one of the writers of this game and have tried to get in touch with difficulty, but I think the way you say about a common enemy like one that we should all battle against is wrong, IMHO I think there should eventually be multiple spawn points in different locations at the start of the game, you race affects where that is, for example some of the races described don\'t get on so we could have those different races played by NPCS and PC alike and enable them to battle with each other sometimes, I;m not sure if Im making myself very clear.
What I\'m trying to say is that we should be able to be able to choose which \'side\' we are on, so that there is no common enemy, that way the players can be either the baddies or the goodies if you see what I mean.
It\'s not a new concept most games do it I think, like EQ, RoE, DAoC,...... you get the drift.
