Server Not Reachable? Can't Create Account!

I\'ve just created my character, but when I hit \'Upload\', it popups a window saying the Server is unreachable or not running. I\'m on a cable connection..always online.
So what\'s the problem?
Please advice..

Im not much of a help, but perhaps the server was down. You can go to planeshift.fragnetics.com and see if the server is up.

number of possiblities

a.) Your behind some form of firewall
b.) Some kind of antivirus software is interfearing
c.) The server address is wrong
d.) The server is down
e.) There is a bug for many people where you cannot try and create a character more than once in one load. IE if a name was taken you cant go back and try another without loading the game again from scratch.

Well, never expected that a MMORPG server would be offline. Anyway, I\'ve visited planetshift.fragnetics.com and found out that the server was actually OFFLINE. Can I just ask if the server is always offline?..Anyone?

Anyway, Norc..I guess it\'s not so much of a problem afterall..well, at least not yet. So let\'s just wait till the server is up. (Which I don\'t know when, and it\'s also not stated anyway on the site and in the forum).

nope the servers rarely offline so dont worry

No problem Antisocial. Since this is pre-alpha, they have to take the server offline from time to time and fix a few things. It wont be like that when we have the \"final\" release\".
