It was almost time. Jessamine and Migg were busying around Kada-El's, arranging some flowers here, placing a bowl of mixed nuts there, adjusting a sputtering candle before their guests arrived.
"Let's put up a guest book, so that everyone who comes can write a few words for us!" said Migg. "I have already placed a bookstand downstairs, next to the fireplace, but I forgot the book."
"No," replied Jess, "Better move it next to the door upstairs, while I run and get a book from storage."
Soon all was in place, and the two stopped to catch their breath and have a look at their handiwork.
"I like the flowers around the guestbook, but isn't it a bit dark in here?"
"Yes, it is, let me talk to Allelia..."
After a brief discussion and some lighting adjustments, things were looking bright again! And the clock was about to strike noon...
People started arriving, and the happy couple were busying around, greeting newcomers, showing them to the drinks or chatting with friends old and new!
Wishes were written in the guestbook and toasts were made!
Time was passing, and as the day came drawing to an end, eyes became brighter, laughter louder and talks more vibrant, as the drinks put people at their ease and new acquaintances were made.
Among the merriment and excitement, little attention was payed to the young Klyros picking up that odd drink to replace her empty beer mug. Kran beer however and Klyros don't mix, and soon everyone was aware something was wrong. All rushed to help, and with the aid of some healing magic and a restorative tea, the incident resulted in nothing worse than the poor Klyros becoming violently ill in a bucket that was luckily found nearby.
Despite the aforementioned unfortunate incident, participants and hosts alike had a great time and resolved to meet again at the happy couple's wedding!
