I actually did the design elements in Dia and exported them to SVG. I then converted that to XML PS can understand and put it in a text file. Adding the text and changing the colors was done by hand. In general I do these last changes in a text editor and only load it in PS to see the final result, since in-game editing is hard.

As for the actual design, it was inspired from a sketch Karrt gave me one day at the market:

I liked the design, and so did Jess. Unfortunately I could not find Karrt to make our invitations for us, so I had to make my own - Jess likes Shan flowers - but I kept the layout and the basic design elements of the original.

As for the invitations, if you find any one of us in game, ask about the wedding IC and you will be invited - and get your own copy! But even if you don't get one, everyone is invited!

With the wedding day closing up, preparations have started and decorations are being put into place.

Many things need to be done still for the wedding, food and drink orders are coming in and the party to follow requires still more set-up, so stay tuned for more news in the days to come!

And don't forget, the wedding is just three days away, put on your best clothes, call your friends and come to celebrate Jess's and Migg's big moment, you are all invited!

After some furious preparations, all flower arrangements are now in place!

Decorations done, the focus is on placing tables and chairs for the guests and setting up for the food and drinks, which ought to arrive in time for the wedding party. Saturday is expected to be busy!

The big day had arrived, and the time was passing. Migg summoned Blueshana for a quick check of the premises. He turned to pat her and he noticed she seemed to be in a good mood. "Can't be," he thought. "She can't know what's happening!" Smiling despite his anxiety, he carefully attached two blue shan flowers to her mane. She didn't seem to mind, she didn't try to eat them. Odd...

Rounding the temple he approached the gazebo. Everything was set up and ready! That was good! He greeted the few friends lingering there and turned to the party tables. All set up as well! He felt himself relaxing a bit.

Approaching the tables he saw the wedding cake had been brought in. He sighed with relief. That was the last thing to be delivered. He dismounted to get a closer look. He couldn't trust Blueshana to remain indifferent to anything edible. And that cake looked tasty!

A sudden ring of a distant bell made him stand up. What time was it? He had to get dressed! He strode back and mounted Blueshana. Going through the Plaza he turned to the High Pass. He was getting dressed at the room he had rented at Kada-El's. Jess was getting dressed in the guild house, he knew, and they were not supposed to meet before the wedding. He urged his mount up the steep stairs and was soon staning outside the tavern. Dismounting, he went in throught the side door. He couldn't risk any further delays, he had to be there in time.

Inside the room, his formal three-piece suit was carefully arrayed on the bed. Jemoy had once more done a very good job. White shirt, blue tie and vest, black jacket and pants. Immaculate. He smiled at the shirt buttons, shaped like little blue shan flowers. He got dressed and put on his shiny black pair of boots. Taking a blue shan flower he pinned it to his lapel. It smelled good!

A bouquet of blue shan flowers tied with a ribbon of fine blue silk was carefully placed on the dresser. That was the custom he had been taught in his small Lemur village, though whether a Dermorian or Lemur custom he couldn't tell. All Dermorian weddings he had been to had been like that, and so he was going to do as well.

He walked down the stairs and mounted on Blueshana once more. Taking the same circuitous path through the plaza he rode back towards the gazebo. People had already started arriving. He dismounted and dismissed Blueshana: "Too many people here, you go and have fun with your friends!" He walked to the gazebo, greeting people along the way. His mind wasn't really there, he was still anxious. He approached the steps and turned to face the aisle, looking around to see who was there. Highlady Deryna had arrived, beautifully dressed. She was Jess's maid of honor. He waved at her, and she waved back smiling. Sacho approached down the aisle. His best man had arrived. Sacho drew near and greeted him: "So what do you need me to do in all of this?" "Uh, support me for starters..." Then in a low voice: "My palms are sweaty!" Sacho grinned. "Ah, you will be fine. Besides that is normal." Migg looked around again. Who was missing? Ah, the priest! Well then it probably wasn't time yet. He relaxed a bit.

Sacho moved back to stand next to Deryna, and await the bride's arrival. The bard, Ogovod Boresalle, was making use of the time to hand out programs to all the guests. It was at that time when Migg saw the priest approaching, his ceremonial robes making him look solemn and impressive. He greeted him and stepped aside as the priest climbed the stairs to stand behind him in the gazebo. Hvarest Channit was a priest of all four Gods of Yliakum. Who other better to unite a couple with a varied religious inclination? Migg noted his amulet, divided into 4 quadrants, and his calm disposition. He wished he could share his calmness... Should Jess be here by now? He tuned to face the aisle once more...

I'm not as creative at writing such a fun read along description for all of my screenshots like Migg is, so I'm not even really going to try.

Jess wore the dress Jemoy tailored special for her for that day.
The dress was a long and flowing white dress with a very short train. The short sleeved dress had embroidered into the cloth designs of trees to make a textural forest over all of the dress. If one looks very closely, one will find small animals within this forest. On a branch here and under a tree there. The material was a mixture of light weight cotton and fine skin. The cut of the dress was very much Dermorian in design, but modest. She wore a  set of matching dress shoes along with a veil of lace trees designs. The design overall seems to be that of nature and living things.

Lord Tozaun of the Charaan Order, who had always looked after Jessamine walked her down the isle.

The decorations were done mostly by GM Emaline, as well as the role of the musician.
The officiant was played by GM Uadjet. So  a HUGE thank you to the GM team!
Migg and I did a few of the decorations but we mostly left it up to the GM team.

Hvarest says: Welcome, all! We come together today to join Migg Ellorean and Jessamine Adecidge together in holy matrimony. We do so in the sight of all here, and in full view of the gods of Yliakum. What is done here today is both solemn and joyous, taking but minutes but lasting forever.
We beseech all of the gods to look with favor upon this couple, as each of the gods have much to teach us.
From Talad we ask that this couple always be blessed with love and patience. May they always remember the love they share with us today, to have the patience with each other that true love demands. To speak softly when words are needed, and to share in silence when they are not.
From Laanx we ask that this couple always remember their commitment to each other. May they always have the strength to be true to one other, whatever distractions and obstacles they face. May they always be willing to turn to each other for strength when they find their own lacking, and may they always have strength to lend when needed.
From Xiosia we ask that this couple always treat their relationsip as a living being deserving of nurturing. Remember to nourish it so that it can grow, and protect it so that it remains strong. Do not try to force its shape in a way that feels untrue, and it will always be beautiful to all who behold it.
From Dakkru we ask mercy. Grant this couple safe passage through your realm that that if they are separated it will not be for long. When the time comes and they pass into your realm for the final time, we ask that you bring them together so that they might spend the rest of eternity in the same way that they spend thier lives: together.
A tradition in multi-deity religion weddings is this ribbon.
Hvarest holds up what appears to be a plait of four differently coloured ribbons.
Hvarest says: each color represents one of the deities we are asking to bless this union. Please join hands.
Hvarest begins chanting.
Hvarest says: Ribbon green, Xiosia's peace. Ribbon bronze, Laanx's strength. Ribbon white, Talad's grace. Ribbon purple, Dakkru's mercy
Hvarest drapes the ribbon over the clasped hands of the couple.
Hvarest says: This ribbon symbolizes the bond between you. It links you, yet it does not bind you. Your vows, your love, do that.
Hvarest turns to the couple.
Hvarest says: I understand you have written your own vows. Please, speak them now.

Jessamine says: Oh uhh I guess I'll go first?
Jessamine takes a deep breath and gives Migg's hand a tight squeeze as she gazes into his eyes and speaks softly. "Today I makee the most sincere promise one heart can make to another."
Jessamine says: I Vow to be your constant love and support; your devoted partner in life; To allow myself to grow though your remarkable love for me.
I vow to be your home; to be your place of comfort and calm; To have faith when our journey is effortless; and when it is challenging.
And when we face adversity, we will never do so alone. Because today I promise you, my best friend, my love, that I will never give up; that I will always belive in us. And that I will love you completely for all of my life.

Migg says: From the first time my eyes beheld you,
I knew we were meant for each other!
From the moment I saw you I knew
Migg says: that no other could fill my heart as you do!
You will always be my sole heart's desire,
part of me till the ends of the time!
I vow to be there for you, now and always!
I vow to hold you closest and dearest of all

Both the wedding pews arrangement and the party set-up were both functional and realistic, making for an impressive set up! And thank you GM Uadjet for your help and for playing the priest Hvarest, enriching PlaneShift with new lore on the multideity path of Yliakum faith. I really enjoyed the chants that made Hvarest's officiating the marriage so novel and realistic! We couldn't have done this without you!
