I think that spell creation cuold be nice. Especially in mage\'s guild\'s. Somethink like that was in the Morrowind but i didn\'t like it. It should be very difficult making them - only high level mages could make sth good. Spell\'s could be made in groups (whole guilds) to speed the making. Creating only whole new spells would be nice \'couse making only bigger spells of the same class (egz. Fireball, Greater Fireball) isn\'\'t so nice.

god, that would be a monster to implement, it would be hard to allow a character to have free reign with the spells, for a large part because then they\'d pretty much have to let people creat their own graphics to go with the spells, what\'s to say that a person wouldn\'t creat something like breast barrage, where a person gets pummled with giant breasts... or penis fire, where a persons pants light aflame... personally, I know I wouldn\'t like that, I\'ve got a two year old who watches me play, and will likely someday be a gamer himself

not to say the idea isn\'t good, it\'s just difficult to think of a good way to be implemented...

now, I could see certain restrictions, basic spell categories, that could be altered in size, elemental damage type, and other things, so basically, make a fireball into a shard of ice that explodes with shrapnel when it hits... or a lighting bolt turning into a fiery meteor, that kind of thing, but this seems to restrictive...

can you come up with a way to implement it that would restrict yet allow freedom at the same time?

Hmm I partly agree with you but If the way to create a spell was very complicated and there were many restrictions for making it for egz. Only whole guilds could have started making it. And of course it could be made only with cooperation with GM\'s.Restrictions would be main thing in making them only the best mages could make them with a bunch of mages to help from guild.  That would help.

Maybe It would be better if it isn\'t implemented into the game, but only with cooperation with the creators, with the previous assurance that it is possible?

well, to make the restriction that only the best mages with large guilds can make them, that excludes both soloers, like myself (tho i don\'t often play mages), and casual gamers, which really isn\'t cool, the only way I can see it working is if you could pipe the spells directly to the devs for approval before they became official

hmmm.. the ever popular Dm\'s approval.... i would say the depends on the spell, a custom illusion flight spell, to say appear as a bird and fly is mearly two spells together. Perhaps the game could alow you to blend spells. Perhaps some people could ppek in to the epic character handbook dor dungeons and dragons (3e) that is what i meand by blending spells, they could implemnt a \"spell seed\" type thing that would be perfectly fair, and it should be highly costly die to research and components.
