Uadjet: Hello and welcome to the Developer's Q&A! This is an out-of-character meeting where you can hear about the development of the game and ask the Dev and GM teams any questions you might have. If you do have any questions, please line up at the lecterns in front of the stage.
Zarre: Hi Uadjet
Uadjet: Okay, so we've had an update since the last time we've met.
Uadjet: It'll make things easier to see, I suppose.
Uadjet: As you no doubt know, Talad has been working on updating the models and textures for our characters.
Uadjet: He has also started work on adding new traits to characters. New KINDS of traits, in fact. These are things like character hair style and color, face tattoos, etc.
Uadjet: He's added new trait categories to both kran and enkis.
Uadjet: Now, let's see if the command works...
Uadjet: Bippity Boppity Boo!
Uadjet: Nope. I'll try again.
Gonger: Oompa loompa.
Uadjet: Bippity Boppity Boo!
Resildren: try using your left hand
Uadjet: There, on the left shoulder.
Uadjet: Kran can now choose to have crystal if they want to during character creation.
Uadjet: That's easier to see, now.
Zarre: Nice feature
Uadjet: Now it's on the leg.
Resildren: can kra it on the forehead?
Gonger: Looks great.
Resildren: is neat
Uadjet: The new eye colours certainly make a difference too.
Uadjet: Very intense.
Trensol: would this have an effect on properties, say weapons and armor
Uadjet: No, they're purely aesthetic.
Uadjet: Now Enkis also have a couple new traits they can set: Jewelry and Jewelry Colour.
Uadjet: Specifically, they get earrings of gold, silver, or red.
Uadjet: You can't buy those, so currently they need a GM to add them. It's very simple to do.
Anysu: nice
Anysu: And we have fur.
Uadjet: Yes, a much improved fur texture.
Inenily: Test character here.
Inenily: It's hard to see until you get close, but there are two piercings joined by a chain on the left side of my face.
Zarre: Looks great
Resildren: nice
Anysu: Neat
Uadjet: The earring styles are: none, claw earring, chain earring, triple earring, stack earring, and on males there is a spike earring. All in gold, silver, or red.
Inenily: This is the stack earring.
Uadjet: If you'd like earrings for an Enki character, just let me know.
Anysu: ME!!!! Me!!
Inenily: This is the claw earring
Anysu: Like loop ones. Stacked.
Inenily: And this is the triple earring.
Anysu: Okay like the triple and stacked.
Uadjet: gold, silver, or red?
Anysu: Gold
Uadjet: Okay, that's gold stacked earrings. How does it look?
Anysu: cool

Uadjet: I don't know when, but I'm sure battle tokens for Stonehammers are on the to-do list.
Anysu: Thank you
Zarre: Stalfos, you're holding a unique dagger in your left hand arent you? Don't remember ever seeing a red blade before.
Anysu: So is there an option to have jewlery on both ears?

Anysu: I like just the one ear, but I am curious.
Uadjet: Not currently, no.
Anysu: So where will we buy these if they make it into game to purchase? The jewlery in Gug?
Uadjet: Or someone in Ojaveda. Toda, or a new merchant.
Anysu: okay
Uadjet: But I think Ojaveda is a must.
Uadjet: On top of that, Talad upgraded all shields. Extra geometry to make them rounder when they should be, and the new textures are 4x the size of the old ones.

Uadjet: A randomly selected example.
Uadjet: The sunshine and shadow shields have entirely new artwork, but you'll have to find that yourselves.
Uadjet: Also, new weapons! They're race-specific, but anyone can use them. The galkard, for example, is Nolthrir. The hookknife and hookblade you saw recently are Klyros.
Uadjet: There is also one new weapon for Kran, Enki, Stonehammer, Diaboli, Lemur, and Dermorian. And a Stonehammer shield.
Uadjet: All will make appearances in upcoming events.
Uadjet: Oh, and a new Diaboli M robe. Don't think they had one before.
Uadjet: Now, if you want to get a better look at these items, there is a new 'inspect mode".
Anysu: enki blade!
Uadjet: Right-click examine an item - like the shield in front of me - and look on the left side of the window. Click on the eye, and see what happens.
Uadjet: Right-click again to exit.
Zarre: Nice feature to have
Anysu: yup
Uadjet: That works for items on the ground, or in your inventory.
Gonger: I was falling after the exit-right-click.
Uadjet: What's the point of upgrading models and textures if we can't get a gook look at them?
Gonger: But very cool feature.
Uadjet: Momentarily? Me too.
Resildren: old arts there has a back up it seems
Uadjet: I get the same thing with the new /item window, but it doesn't correct.
Anysu: I need to head out. Adapter is not working and battery is going down ast with ps here.
Anysu: Thanks for jewlery and info
Uadjet: Ahh, and the red dagger is likely a rare weapon. Those can be of different colours and have movement trails now.
Uadjet: Let's see...
Resildren: yes i have a very old ring, i'm sure it wil never get updated
Uadjet: Stone Labyrinth simplified, with one-way drops decreasing time spent wandering...a thousand textures upgraded...
Uadjet: And now Talad is on vacation in Japan, so while he isn't working on the game I imagine he'll come back refreshed and possibly with new inspirations for PS!
Uadjet: Any questions on all of that?
Zarre: No questions but I'm truly looking forward to seeing so many changes.
Resildren: he's done some great art
Uadjet: He has. He's been using AI to help, otherwise doing 1000+ textures...
Resildren: he deserved a vacation
Resildren: but i dont know about that pizza he was holding
Resildren: um never mind I guess that was LigH
Uadjet: Durian pizza? Yeah, that would certainly be an experience.
Uadjet: I did once threated to make someone surstr?mming tacos, but they didn't know what it was. Wasted threat....
Uadjet: Okay, the Observatory questline is done, and now that I don't have that 97 step quest hanging over my head I'm making progress on the Essential Trail / Delver quests.
Resildren: it took me a week to find out the Hydlaa had another entrance
Resildren: so looking forward to these new quests
Uadjet: Heh, yeah. For some reason I still have trouble mapping the gates and the roads in my head. It feels like the tutorial area gate should be on the other side.
Uadjet: I'll just hover over it for a while some day.
Uadjet: So I'm writing farming, forestry, and fishing quests right now.
Resildren: worlds sure got alot bigger then pre-unreal
Zarre: It sure has
Uadjet: If I can write them, I'll have some quests that introduce the creature examination ability. I've got two quests in Dever that would work for that. One is local wildlife, and one is domesticated creatures.
Zarre: How did I ever get so lost here many years ago? >.> xD
Resildren: as an Exploer some of these areas are killing me

Uadjet: Ahh, have you filled out much of the map in the compendium?
Zarre: I took advantage of those tours more than once.
Resildren: still the west to discover
Uadjet: Well, don't spend too much time looking for Kormia. It's on the map, but I think the few buildings that were there vanished a while ago.
Resildren: is there a merchant that sells compases? i heard that was implented?
Uadjet: They exist, but the quest isn't in yet.
Resildren: ah ok
Uadjet: I give them out at events on occasion, so people should have spares for trade.
Resildren: always willing to barter

Uadjet: There's no link, however. The only thing that gets automatically to Discord are posts in the Help channel.
