Logging in

Hi

I just spent five hours downloading all the neccessary components, i made sure i had all five and the reassembler.
I then followed all the help file instructions and everything was going very smoothly until i came to uploading the character i had made.
I filled in my name \'Lucius\' acuurately and made sure my pass was copied exactly. I tried to connect using the default address that occured but nothing really happened after i waited a few minutes. So then i tried the ip address with and without the : and the port at the end, and all that happened were a few security messages telling me my com was access the ps server and then i got a message saying something about there being a problem with the server and to check the forums.

I checked the crystal place and found some info about a backup server being used for the time being, is that why i cannot upload my char? if it is the backup server what is the address?

if you fail again, and the upload went ok, as you claim ...just be patient, sometimes the server gets a bit \"full\"

So I should just keep creating my charcater until it doesnt say something like \'server is either offline or not functioning, please refer to the forums\'.

Even though it says this, has my character been uploaded and it is just logging in which is the problem?

Apparently the user name Lucius is already within the records. The account was created last month. From what I understand there is going to be a complete rewrite of the login and character creation code so guess you\'ll just have to be patient. BTW, try using another user name for the time being.
