OK What now...

Downloaded all files they are all the right size...
When I click on the run_me_first  it opens and just stays
there... sooo what now ?

I just downloaded all the files from a diferent server and still the same thing happens....    so ... any one know whats going on or is everyone here as brainless as I...

Ok after reading pages and pages of people with the same problem as me being avoided, Ive come to this conclusion :
  Screw it.
  I hope this game sells out when its done.
  And charges some where around 60 dollars *us
 All you are use-less really who the hell knows     anything around here...  no one...
Eat crap and die...      God damn cakes..

it is not our fault neither the games...... either you did something wrong or your download got corupted. Check that all files are EXACTLY the right size as well as the run me first is the right thing

what im saying is if it WORKED for over 100+ ppl then its not the game and it has to be something you had done wrong

is your OS even recognizing it as a batch file?
are they all in the same directory?
try redownloading just the batch file. then if that fails try d/ling the other 1 at a time using process of elimination. i myself had no trouble using it so i know the files are in good working order.

Nope... I know the files are good...   ALL OF THEM...
   It works like its like it should but i dosnt intstal...
When I click the run_me file dos opens up...
 then nothing it just sits there... no frozen  not crashed
It just sits there. ;o)
I know nothings wrong with the files.

you do not know, unless you pulled each lil script out and compared it with someones working version. im not sure what to tell you because this problem did not happen with me.

although if you like to complain about it and \"preach\" about it then i suggest to sit back, forget about it, then return in about 5 months, by then the new version should be released, maybe with new downloads and not just the use of the updatter. then maybe then you can get it to work

I may not know.  
 But I do know that all files check out being that I Downloaded them from a server that a person with a working  version told me to get them from.
     
So instead of every other new person that signed up
for this forum last week and has only 8 post...
   
 How about some one who has had this problem and
  fixed it.     And yes other people have had this problem.
     I\'ve read 20 other threads about it...
 *not awnserd might I add...

Maybe they haven\'t been answered because it hasn\'t been solved?????  Possibly, just possibly that might be the answer you are looking for.  Just because you have the porblem doesn\'t mean everyone has.  Just because 20 or 40 (or even 100!) people have had the exact same problem doesn\'t mean everyone has.  And just because they posted something on this forum doesn\'t mean it can be answered, or that anyone who checks this forum has solved the problem.  

The game\'s pretty buggy right now (shocker, it is a pre-alpha game, if it didn\'t have any bugs, I think I would have had a heart attack!).  As bugs are generally undocumented (and most likely unknown by the developers until they are tested & discovered), what I\'m basically telling you is that life sucks.  Either figure it out, I would recommend researching the message forums (but apparently you have searched every single message with a fine-tooth comb) or just do like me and wait patiently (that\'s right patiently).  After all, patience is a virtue.

Believe it or not there is a simple answer for this.  It was answered in a sticky on the Newbie Help forum in the Newbie FAQ demo...

This is the most common cause for this problem.  Check this and see if that is what is causing your problem.
