I am fairly sure that will be implemented in the future...

I\'d like to have alot more control over my account in terms of having the ability to change the password, reset the account, delete it and especially the ability to have more than one character per account.

Yes, I know at the moment the account *is* the character, but it would certainly be nice to have a couple of alts (alternate chars) without having to create a new account.

It also means that people will not be creating whole new usernames when all they want to do is try a different character or style of play for a change. :)

Don\'t worry about that... when a new client version arrives, I\'m pretty sure all accounts will be wiped.

Yes, it\'s true all acounts will be wiped.  Currently the devs are considering a reward for the people that are most active.

Playng Diablo, one of the most valuable (and hackable) features I liked was the server-side and client-side character.  Third party utilities could save your character to a file, and if something happened, you could just restore it.

Obviously, that\'s extremely hackable, but it could help users migrate among servers.

That could easily be managed in much the same way as changing a password. There\'s no need to add unecessary risk... I\'d hate to see Planeshift become anything akin to Diablo... *shudders*

I\'ve never seen any serious mmorpg turn into something like Diablo, so I wouldn\'t worry... :P
