Hi, erm im still downloading the game, the graphics look superb, and all, but like .................... what are we meant to really do in the game except get crystals, land like why buy weapons ( in this version) when there are no monsters?! or is it cause we get to kill things in the later version so it will save us the hassle of buying  stuff when everyone is killing za monsters.....

but right now what r we supposedly meant to do????

It doesn\'t take much effort to look around for your answers, really, and I recommend doing a bit more of a search next time ;)

The game is still in pre-alpha stage, so all you can do is collect crystals to buy decorative weapons, solve two quests when the NPCs are available (they often disappear for several days), chat and make friends, roleplay, join guilds, and explore/glitch. It may not seem like much for now, and if it\'s not for you, then you may consider waiting until CB, when more \"game elements\" will be added. However, the community is what keeps people here.

Why buy weapons? There\'s really no reason. I suppose it could have been looked at as a status thing, to show how good of a crystal hunter you are, but now after more than a year even galkards are seen too frequently ;) Weapons can be used for roleplay, too. They will not be saved for CB, although it is said that our character names and crystals will transfer over.

how do you delete a char
???=3
it is confusing me because i justmade a char to see if the game was good (it seem a okay)
but i made a kran for my GOOD player and i can\'t log in :(

You can only delete your character if that character has somehow become invalid or corrupt in the PS database. Removing an invalid account is covered in this FAQ.

If you created a new account, you should be able to log in with its name and password. If you can\'t, check around the Technical Help forum to see if there\'s any solutions to your problem.

Yes I am a Noob and Yes I have read everything there is to read in the forums beore I even thought about playing the game, pre-alpha or not.
I just want to thank Mogura for the great job here!
I have yet to start the game up but I will soon enough, I want to help out and the only way to do that is read read read then play play play :]

Well what happened you guys said combat would be in two months.  But, I am playing right now and there isn,t one trace of combat.

Look around... Read the main website... There will be combat in the next release. Just be patient.

Kudos for posting in the right place, you won\'t beleive the number of people who say \"wehre 1s t3h c0mb4t?!?!\" in the middle of, say, forum requests.

download all 5 stages of the game.. (including the put me together one)  then run the put me together one. and then create your character.. choose your race.. and options or click quick creation and login..

Ok i reaad though all of this, and it didnt help me(im not saying that it isnt good, im just saying i couldent find what i was looking for)...
Ok i am having the problem of: when i downloaded all of the files and put them all in the same folder, it worked and everything installed, but then after i go to the setup and save that, i run the game and i make a character and i hit upload, it says this server is not running, or is not reacting, please check the website or forums for more info. help pelase! my friend got the game to work, why cant i!?

Search the Technical Help forums, Deadlyone. You might have a firewall/router blocking traffic. Maybe you didn\'t type the correct server address.

A simple will reveal the solution. :)


Gorbulas: You\'re not thinking of making this FAQ a macro are you? :S I don\'t think I\'d like to be responsible for a 600 line long spam in /shout, thanks.

My last post contained some clues... ;)


Okay then, do you have a firewall or router?

If yes, then you must allow UDP traffic access through port 13331. If you don\'t know how to do this, consult your firewall/router documentation. If you don\'t know if you have a firewall/router, you probably don\'t have one (unless your ISP does, in which case there\'s nothing you can do).

If no, then make sure the server field says: \"planeshift.fragnetics.com\" (no quotes) in the login screen. You can also try using the server\'s IP address instead of name: 203.81.47.74


You may also find you have a Database error. There is a sticky thread in Technical Help that explains what to do in that case.

(i forgot to put this on my last post)I really dont know what to search for seeing how it wont update, because it says it cannot connect or cannot find such and such, and i cannot upload a character. and i cannot log in
