Well they are suppose to be upgradable .. thats why all these ppl (SONY, XBOX) are releasing hard drives... Thats what I\'ve heard long time ago .. Even saw the PS2 hard drive .. Looks like a mini-PS2 ...

But Jedi I don\'t agree with the idea of havin PS on a console ... Just ain\'t right ... Don\'t think you\'ll enjoy it much ... How would you type ? a Keyboard .. Wel you have a keyboard on your pc so why take it to a console .....

I am forced to agree with you on Half-Life 2 as that game indisputably owns. However, it is not Xbox exclusive and, as you said, it\'ll be better on PC, so I have no reason to like Xbox for it. It is simply a bonus for the console owners. Nintendo has many bonuses that caneasily outweigh whatever M$ throws its money away on.

Well Jedi ... You must agree that the XBOX came in a flash and was not anticipated by anyone.. When Nintendo thought of waitting until PS2 was released what they tried to do was to beat sonys spec\'s so they have a Hardware advantage... But MS slaughtered Big \'N\' in their own game .. They released a 733mhz CPu while Big \'N\' had a something like 400mhz .. can\'t remmber ..

Well I also used to be a nintendo lover but after that I didn\'t want to give my money to a very weak system compared to xbox ..

When you buy an GC you wonder what games will be made and will those great PC games with great graphics be on it .. But when you buy a xbox ... you say to yourself .. Know I can play so and so ....

Its a jungle out there in the gaming world .. And unfortuantly it has only one Law .. Survival of the fittest ...

ok ok, hasnt anyone heard that i think after thier next console if it does poorly again that they are getting out of the console development and only making thier game boys...... but that wont be good either cuz Sony is coming out with the psp , playstaion portible, i think its called that...... and it will feature a much wider screen, full 3d graphics, and everything better then what nintendo has out..... its gonna be cooler too with the real tiny disks! Its gonna be like a portible playstation 1

also sony with its new chip the cell, is said to be like 1000x (or was it 100) better then what it has now so anything is gonna get blown away even if nintendo does come out earlier

There is only one system that a LOT of people buy solely for the exclusive games for that system and that is anything made by Nintendo. Zelda and Mario are the main selling points of every Nintendo system. You may find higher quality and more features elsewhere, but you won\'t find Luigi. :o)

I don\'t play console games anymore, except to give the kids a little bit of help sometimes, but that\'s because I have beaten both of the Zeldas and Mario for my N64. I for one am hoping to get a GameCube this summer, so I can kick some more Nintendo exclusive butt.

No, all releases in such games are given through expansions that are only for the given platform... An example is morrowind on Xbox... they just recently got their GotY edition to add the two expansions..

furthermore, I don\'t believe any destributors would ever consider publishing a free mmorpg...

Hmmm...of course you go to an Xbox site to get info on the other systems.

Technical specs are all well and good, but you fail to see that there are only two things that matter in a console. Max number of polygons onscreen, and the games. Even if the polygon limit is low the games can be made in such a way that you won\'t notice. Look at the PS2.

Besides, in the next-generation, the graphics will not be a problem. Of course, everbody\'s gonna be harping on them, but when it comes down to it, are you actually caring about your system specs in the middle of gameplay? I didn\'t think so. The deciding factor in the next-gen race will be the games and the features. Hopefully Nintendo won\'t be caught with their pants down this time and give some extras. They\'ve already got the game end in the bag with Too Human and \'Game Zero\'.

in My opinion, i think that sony is loosing its grip, and this \"PS3\" my take longer then expected...anyway:

ps2 is the most outdated, as in release, and it doesn\'t have alot of good ps2 exclusive games, and nintendo\\sega...now, ppl may be wondering why i say nintendo\\sega, think of it as this way, why would SONIC be ONLY for GAMECUBE??? in other words, mario and sonic are buds, and, i recently played halo, and its just as good as metriod...Prime

so i think that the best are both GC and X-Box, as they are BOTH the best, even though some ppl may not want to accept this.

on a side note: every nintendo exclusive game is so well done that, as said before in this topic, there is literly no glithces in thier games...except metriod prime, becuase you can get power bomb expansions before you get the power bomb (no, really!), and many other things like that.

Sony is loosing their grip in terms of gaming. Their next console will do so many things you almost forget that it plays games too. Plus, it looks like they\'re serious with their 1000x faster jargon so expect the price to make a Toyota Celica look cheap.

The Xbox 2 is doing that as well, though to a lesser degree.

As of yet I don\'t know Nintendo\'s plans for the N5, but I\'m hoping it\'ll at least have DVD support.

I\'m not really into console stuff, but i just found this recently.
Don\'t know if you\'ve heard about the Phantom? It\'s a new console that hasn\'t been released yet. I think they are currently beta-testing the thing.
It\'s made up of pc parts (they\'ve got the Intel logo on their site), they say it will be the best console ever (some grain of salt added here).
It is connected to the internet via broadband internet i believe. You can download demos on the thing from the internet before buying the game. It also supports pc games i believe. Haven\'t really looked at it indepth yet. I\'m not really an expert on console territory but it looks pretty ok.
The real presentation to the public will be on the 15th of august this year.

Uh huh. You know what the Phantom is? Exactly that. a phantom. It was supposed to be a this years e3, but it was nowhere tobe found.

There has been one interview with the company and I must say the Phantom is quite fake. The interview consisited of long questions and one or two word answers. No the way to get publicity.

Trust me it\'s fake. And even if it\'s not, Infinium Labs is stupid to launch it in the middle of a generation. Look what happened to the Dreamcast (third best system ever). No one will buy it because, if they\'re going to get a console, they already have.

Certainly seems possible, but I know one very trustworthy Canadian company that kept it\'s ppl (that is it\'s community) in the dark for almost three years. *cough*Relic*cough* But they came through, and some day I have have Homeworld II, an awesome 3d real-time-strategy game
(the original homeworld was pretty good, btw, check it out it\'s cheap now)
