How about everyone just upload their stories to a web host in .txt and link to them? Keeps the forums clean and allows for easy access. Plus .txt means they\'ll load fast and they won\'t have any clutter.

That\'s what I\'ll be doing on the 30th when the competition closes. Untill then, everyone should send their entries to my e-mail.

I\'ve had no entries for the GUI or title screen design. Somebody send me *something* and you\'re guaranteed to win by default if nobody else bothers.

Well as anyone who I\'ve spoken to probably knows my art skills are pants, bigger pants and the late barry white sized pants. I post this in the hope that others will actually take the insentive and do something better... do you really want *this* horror to win?

It fits with the rules and is accepted as an entry. If you lot can\'t be bothered to do something better, that fat bag of 300 shiney crystals goes to Teejus and his... uh... lovely title screen.

Sheez TJ now I might even feel tempted to try   . I\'m neither good at pants, phallic symbols or any other blo*dy thing you can think of but I admire your courage and will see what I can do to make others laugh at us!

I was actually working on my short story last night and told Kluger about it in a post on a story he wrote  (I encouraged him to submit it here Moogie) and telling  about my ordeal which is copied below:

I\'ve been up till 2 am lying outside on my hammock, smoking my pipe and thinking about my short story for Moogies short story competition. It was going very well, an aquatic elf female surfacing in a huge lake near the shore to see a huge battle enfolding right in front of her etc. Then it started to rain (not in the story, though it might still do that, but on me in the hammock  X( ). My pipe went out, I went in and the story went out the door ...

But now I\'ll have to take on TJ as well now, a guy never get\'s any proper rest around here ...

Remember that you can only enter one part of the competition. If you think you might be able to write the story, go for it. I\'d much rather get some results for the other two sections though. =/

Ok moogie, I was not clear on the 1 section only entry. Now I\'m caught between the devil-and-the-deep-blue-sea here.

But my gutt tells me TJ is going to win the tug-of-war and then I might gladden you with another smile-provoking entry a-la-TJ (But with style   )

Btw Moogie, I went and saw Felines Liar\'s site today, very nice and I\'m impressed with the detailed and well thought through ranking system. Let me know when you\'ve finished to new coverpage.
