To Wormtail_: Maybe the math itself will not have a use in the game, but most of the ones that loves math know how to planify and to program, to get the max output of a character with the calculus functions. That probably will be useful.

As I said, I\'ll form the guild the next week (exams), but if someone is in a hurry and start it threr\'s no prob.

To Jedi: I study in the UNAM (Mexico\'s largest university),
and you?

I might want to join... The only problem being how much I actually know in mathematics.I know nothing about programming, but I would like to learn.  I think I also know of a few other poeople I know of who also may want to join as well. Should I invite them?

What exactly do you mean by \'send an avatar?\' If I am answering your question correctly, only Devs may have avators. But that may not be what you meant, I\'m not too sure.

And good luck with the guild!and recieving good scores on your exam!

Hi,

Huggin this is a novel idea and I love novel ideas! Good to see someone from Mexico in on PS.

Hi, I\'m doing a comparative summary of all existing Guilds which we want to add to a PS-fansite linked to Bloodlines Guild.

Some ideas you might think on (and send to me once you have done so)  :D

Kind of members (math freaks ok but ...) all races in PS, all types of characters i.e. mages/fighters/rogues etc?

Aims, is there an overall purpose or aim with Math guild? See for example Explorers Guild (http://www.psxg.tk), they explor the PS world as main aim making them close to Cartographers or at least able to assist the latter. Maybe the Math Guild could do something similar with math, maybe to be used in Magic?

Allignment, good, evil, neutral etc.

Lastly ally yourself with some existing guilds that come close to your aims etc. or at least are compatible.

E-mail me if there are more details or post here.

Good luck

I think you have to be a moderator or win a contest to have an avatar

Advanced Calculus
« Reply #27 on: July 21, 2003, 05:15:21 am »
Is not that advanced, but here it\'s:
Only knowing how to calculate the volume of a cilinder(heigth * circle area); deduce the formule of the volume of a cone.
Hint: First divide the cone in two, and calcule the volume with to cilinders; if you divide it indefinitly...

The name of the guild will be \"Dragon Hunters\" or something like that (there is a reason that I\'ll explain someday).

Kind of members: Personaly, almost allways play as a barbarian; but I suposse most of the members (if I can get enough to open it) will be mages (don\'t know why, but all my classmates that play role are mage lovers). Maybe I will be a kind of sorecerer with lighting reflexes.

Aims, is there an overall purpose or aim with Math guild? The ideal would be create a new kind of mage that uses math (like the FF Tactics one). That is unlikely, so probably we will  be a kind of Arecane Brotherhood.

Allignment: We will follow a honor code, but not based in good or evil stuff; I\'ll be more like the gypsy honor code (the closest in RPG are the gypsy vampires in the Masquerade (i forgot the name)).

All guild that want\'s to be our ally will be accepted as a brother to us.

I\'m starting to doubt that then guys will be interested in the math guild, but thanks for the interest Wolfmane and  keep the fingers crossed.
