Due to how early the game is in it\'s development, player\'s arn\'t required to have great connection speeds. There\'s little information that needs to be passed between client/server and I don\'t think anyone really experiences proper \'lag\'. You may however experience game performance issues which, strangely enough, seem to be more apparent on high-end machines such as yours.
Right now there\'s nothing you can do except grin and bare it. To maximise performance, I suggest using fullscreen mode with 16bit colour (such can be customised using the included pssetup.exe found in the PS directory and start menu group).
